  • Which part in cebu would you like to stay? For what purpose. Depends kasi iyan how long would you stay & the budget.

    Anyway try mo:
*Hotel de mercedes - but I wouldn't like the location since it is near Colon which has a lot of snatchers.
    *Waterfront near downtown
    *Cebu Marriott Hotel
*Cebu Midtown- just right next to Robinson or connection actually
    *Montebello Villa - Banilad.
  • What if you are going to Mandaue? Which are nice hotels to stay in?
  • I don't know if there is a particular hotel in MAndaue CityL
*Days Inn Hotel Mactan Cebu(2.1 miles away)
*Park Place Hotel (2.8 miles away) but has a cheaper rates than Montebello.
*Montebello Villa - Banilad which is near Mandaue(2.8 miles away)

Mas maganda sa Montebello kasi di masyadong maingay then paglabas mo nandoon ang Gaisano Country Mall. Maganda ang garden nila doon.
  • marriot hotel is a great hotel with a yummy breakfast buffet..

shangri-la mactan is good too.. it's actually not far from the city at all you know..

    where are you going exactly?
  • how much is your budget and do you have any preferred area?
  • we prefer near the city... budget i'm not sure may 1k per night?

ano pala ang ibang pdeng gawain sa cebu? places to see? the main reason we will go is to go to the sto nino church
  • kung gusto mo sa uptown area(Osmena Blvd.), try mo Cinco centrum...halos katabi lng sya ng Park place hotel...maganda nman sya, pero walang phone sa room, nasa lobby lng...high rise building sya.

  • sweet_7326: theres a fantastic CEBU thread in Fashion and Lifestyle detailing all accomos and activities.
  • Hello everyone

Planning a firstime visit to CEBU next year. What areas would you recommend for us to stay.

We like the beaches and won't mind a side trip to the city center(shopping malls)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers!
  • if you plan to stay in cebu city (where the night life is AYOS!)...

marriot - well recommended if budget is not an issue. right beside ayala mall, you have instant access to shops, restos, bars, etc.

waterfront - if you plan to spend a lot of time in the casinos, also infront is D' Village lined up with resto/bar/cafes

ns pensione - almost beside mango mall and very near osme?a blvd., redemptorist church and robinsons.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ko ito! place is really clean and cozy, and the staff are very accomodating. food is good and prices very reasonable, room service/laundry and pressing are also available.
the twin sharing standard rooms (single queen or 2 single beds/aircon/cable/hot&cold h20/telephone) starts at Php750, the high end rooms which are 2x more bigger than the superior rooms at marriot (2 queen sized beds/aircon/cable/hot&cold h20/telephone/personal ref) are around Php1,450

    outside cebu city...

    shangri-la - kailangan pa ba i-memorize yan?

and since your alredy in mactan... a must do on your to do list is to go on a discovery dive (if you haven't tried scuba diving yet). but opt for the other diving resorts around mactan if you wanna do this. i met a few divers while in a bar one time and they instantly became my dive masters wherein they took me out on my first dive for only Php700 (3 dive sites/inclusive of gear). most cebuanos are really friendly so do watch out for potential friends among the locals.

    other must see places....

    malapascua
    bantayan
  • i'll be assigned in Cebu - Mandaue near the bridge area

initially, I need to stay in hotel

Plantation Bay! Could be the best yet, ever, in the Philippines! And ther service - each and every individual employee at Plantation Bay sees to it that all your needs are accomodated and taken cared of immediately. Take go out their way to make your stay a very pleasant one. Even food are ecellent and the ambaince, you just got to be there!
But to stay for a year? At $145 per day?
  • I need an apartment or condo unit to stay in for one year. Budget is from 15-20t fully furnished.

  • here's a useful link
    http://cebu-online.com/makeitcebu/

i used to frequent cebu last year. once or twice a month.
my previous post to this is just based on my own experience.
i normally stay around 10 days whenever im in cebu. im normally out during the whole day/night checking out the sites/bars/restos/clubs.
if you plan to do the same to really experience cebu (food/culture/sights/memories), opt for a pensione house!

try to cover as many places (sights/food/bars) as you can. keep on hopping from one place to another. then choose your favorites so you can get more out of your money and time the next time you visit.

    another recommendation:
    cafe laguna at ayala cebu
don't forget to try out the different sutukils and sugbaans in lahug.
  • hi guys,

for my recent trip, we stayed at eddie's hotel at f.manalo st., a few blocks from fuente osmena circle. it's very nice, quiet and clean. rooms are A/C, with a double bed, own bathroom, cable TV. comes with one free breakfast. PhP1200 (standard), PhP1300 (deluxe)

in my opinion, it suits me very well because it's not in the heart of the city (fuente osmena) which can be pretty noisy at night but you can walk or take a short jeep ride going there.
  • budget considerations aside, I prefer Marriott over Waterfront Cebu. the rooms have a better ambiance, and near the establishments :)
