does vitamin e or fish oil tablets cause breakouts?

i have been suffering from atopic dermatitis for the longest time and i have been giving every single item out there a shot to see if it helps me fight my skin problem.
i have been told once by a chinese lady that fish oil gels/tablets have hig content of fatty acids or omega fatty acids and some even has glycerin and vitamin e in it. so i bought one. when i started taking it, my allergies came out. a friend of mine says that maybe the fish oil tablets are pushing the dirt out of my body thats why i am having breakouts. i was also told to continue taking the fish oil tablets til my breakouts stop.
i once had vitamin e tablets and same thing happened.
does it mean that my friends' theory is right or i am allergic to anything that has vitamin e.
help please. thanks.

  • and what i mean by breakouts is:
my skin allergy which has been under control suddenly came back. like i started to itch really bad and my skin got all wrinkled.
i have noticed though that these past few days have been better (i started taking it last week)and i do hope my friends' theory about it "detoxifying" me is right.

Vitamin E per se will not cause you skin problems, since it's a natural, essential element of your body. Studies have even shown that it has, in fact, some anti-allergy properties. What may be irritating you are additives in the particular brand you're using. You may want to try switching brands, and if possible, see if the label has "mixed tocopherols"--this might be a better option for you.

And no, vitamin E doesn't push out toxins causing your breakout. Your friend's idea is way, way out.

it's the opposite case for me, when i started taking omega 3-6-9 and vitamin e, my skin started to clear up.
