Dementia Stage 1 — PinoyExchange

Dementia Stage 1

Well Im not sure if I do have this but from what Ive read, it fits me.

I notice I have short term memory and I tend to forget things easily after a while like names of people, etc.

Is there any medicine of some sort I can take to avoid this? Would Vitamin B Complex help?

  • How old are you? What are you doing lately (jobs, school...)?
  • Im 24, school, just finished, not really stressed. I just noticed this when I was in high school. I can memorize pretty quickly thus becoming an honor student but i tend to forget things quite easily especially the names of people. Then I read something about dementia and different stages and I noticed stage 1 fits me.

I find it weird because Im still young. How can I prevent this>
  • Don't be so paranoid yet about things that you read. Many people don't remember things if they don't think it's important at the time, saving their "memory bank" for things they consider "more important". Or maybe you were preoccupied at the time. You remember the old running joke about the absent-minded professor, don't you? One who remembers so much about his specialization but can't remember where he parked his car? Parang ganun. :)
  • sana nga, thanks :)

One last question, what is vitamin b complex really for?
  • Vitamin B complex is essential for the following:

-The breakdown of carbohydrates into glucose (this provides energy for the body)

-The breakdown of fats and proteins (which aids the normal functioning of the nervous system)

-Muscle tone in the stomach and intestinal tract

    -Skin

    -Hair

    -Eyes

    -Mouth

    -Liver

Best source? FOOD. The B-complex vitamins are found in brewer's yeast, liver, whole-grain cereals, rice, nuts, milk, eggs, meats, fish, fruits, leafy green vegetables and many other foods.
