  • "Buko juice na nasa cap?" I'm not quite sure what you are saying.

Anyway, in general, buko juice should not cause any problems in pregnancy. Most food preservatives are safe for pregnant women.

It is more likely that your friend may have some other problem other than the fact that she took in buko juice.

    i mean, cup. sorry.
  • You mean those sold as "samalamig"? Or those sold in plastic cups and sealed?

For the latter, I really am not certain how they process it, but for "generic" brands, I'm quite wary of them because I truly don't know how they prepare them and what additives they put into it to may them fresh longer.

I'm not saying that the intrauterine fetal death is caused by any substance (the fetus may have a problem to begin with) but I do agree that pregnant women should be extra careful with what they ingest.

yung sa plastic cup and sealed.
  • OK, see my reply above. :)

In general, though, I'm more likely to think that the fetus has some problem to begin with. How far along was she in her pregnancy?

I heard maraming preservatives ung mga ganun... don't take it.
  • kung mahilig ka tlga sa buko juice, louie;s buko juice na lang bilhin mo. malinis yon. :happy buko-ing:
  • i've heard those buko juice in cups are mixed with FORMALIN (some sort of Formaldehyde, a very strong preservative used in preparing corpses so that they won't rot easily).

    yikes.

better go for the freshest buko juice, the ones that come with the shell

araw na lang hinihintay bago syang manganak...
  • Most cases of intrauterine fetal death at that late stage are due to problems with the mother or with the fetus. About 1/3 is caused by unknown factors.

Although the aforementioned buko juice could no longer be tested, I highly doubt that any chemical agent, especially in very limited quantities, would be the direct cause of the fetal death at that late stage.
