EACH day people face ethical decisions about health: organ transplants, abortion, the "right to die." Hopefully, you will never face those problems.
Yet, there is one issue that demands your attention: How can blood be used to save life? This no doubt is of interest to you because blood is linked to your life.
With good reason, many now ask, 'How safe are blood transfusions?' Have you wondered why many ethical people, who believe in good medicine, refuse to accept blood?
As you will see, the medical and moral aspects of using blood bear directly on how you can save your most valued possession: LIFE.

I think the one that started this post is a Jehovah's Witness. However, I will not agree with the Jehovah's Witnesses' claim that blood transfusions is evil and not allowed in the Scriptures.
Blood is very important because it is the symbol of life; no, blood actually is life, for it is the carrier of life.
That's why the Sacred Scriptures has rules regarding respect for blood, for are we not also saved through the holy blood of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ?
Yet, blood must also be used to save lives. If one person is in dire need of blood due to haemorrhage, I as his brother and neighbour has a Christian responsibility and duty to do all we can to save his life, and if this means giving him of my blood, then I will do it.
The spirit of the Deuteronomic law here is the same as those that apply to those Deuteronomic laws that apply to the Sabbath and its observance.
All things must be utilized to the salvation of lives, and all things must be utilized for the salvation of men's souls.
That is why the Sabbath is made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.
And this is why blood is life.0 -
Eh, shermanno, if you think it's a valid topic to discuss, why don't you talk about it here, rather than resort to a one-sided "ibigay mo email mo"? The advantage of posting on PEX is that you see your viewpoints discussed in public.
If you don't want to discuss it out in the open, baka hindi ka lang confident sa position mo.0 -

He obviously doesn't want it to be lambasted left and right here. And he is not confident enough of this. In that case, we shouldn't be interested.0 -
