The Evo IX follows the facelifted Lancer's styling.


The Lancer would look better with the JDM headlights (black surrounds). But it's not bad as it is.

black surrounds on the headlights are sweet and nice chin spoiler too...

great for mitsu phils too redeem themselves with this facelifted baby...previous model was ugly...

i think after the lancer in 97 eto yung "true" next model ng lancer, yung iba kasi palit lang grill bumpers and trunk.. pero all in all same body pa den hehe

anyway i think dapat last yr eto nilabas.. kaya taka den ako yung evo8 bat hindi hawig sa lancer 2003.. sa 2004 pa pala lalabas hehe..

Just an observation...

How come no one makes a big deal about the 2004 Lancer's back end? I don't see it on print ads, I don't see it on local motoring sites (yet).

hindi ko sinisiraan talaga yun mitsubishi lancer 2004... pero pinakalowest na quality na lancer ata ito... kasi sa taiwan na lang ata ginagawa...

i was able to take a peak at the interior of the 04 lancer. pretty nice though the instrument gauge underwhelming. i also saw the back end and its looks good too.

Actually hawig yung Evo VIII sa Lancer 2003 model. The lights are wider on the Evo, but they're shaped similarly.

Ang nagbago lang talaga sa Evo VIII in cosmetic terms over the Evo VII is the front bumper assembly and the carbon-fiber rear wing. Medyo half-hearted attempt siya to include the new corporate Mitsubishi face (the central triangle with the 3-diamond logo).

Yes, jagged, the 1.8 L lancer will be avalable here, tentatively on the third quarter of this year.

so mitsubishi's gonna be ditching the 1.6L engine with a 1.8L now? tapos magkakaroon pa ng 1.8L turbo? tht's not half bad, you know..

if it sells for 1.3M MAX it should sell extremely well..

anyway, saw a 2004 lancer the other, not bad! it looks a step better than last year's model nga...

I went to the dealer and the GLX M/T sells for 688k. Included are driver side airbag, four disc brakes and that new Darth Vader-like appearance (looks good in black).

Pero am choosing between a 2004 altis j and the 2004 lancer (both in the 680k range). any advice?

Uh.. Corolla's from Thailand. So is Honda, i believe.

all our cars are now mostly manufactered within SouthEast asia nalang din. Gone is the time when cars would come from Japan.

pero may mga trucks/ suvs rin tayong galing japan i think..

and Europe..
