You can actually use alcohol as well as vinegar for first aid for jellyfish stings. Both can paralyze the discharge of nematocysts. You'll have to get a tweezer to remove the stinger after you splash the area with either alcohol or vinegar. Apply shaving cream and start shaving with a razor after you've removed the stinger, and then splash again with either vinegar or alcohol. For the itch, you can buy hydrocortisone cream over-the-counter. Just apply the cream 3x a day for the itching, as needed.
