How to experience death

susmariosepsusmariosep Member PEx Influencer ⭐⭐⭐
No one has so far come back from definitive death, like those guys in the cemetery.

But you can experience death in the nearest way possible and come back.

When you are in a state of unconsciousness, you don't exist anymore insofar as you are concerned. And if you don't regain consciousness ever again, then you are dead.

So, everytime you are in unconsciousness, you are in a state of non-existence insofar as you are concerned, effectively death insofar as human existence is concerned.

Now, everytime you fall asleep and you don't have any dreams whatever, in a state of deep dreamless sleep (dds), you are momentarily dead. If you don't come back to consciousness ever, you are dead for all practical purposes for yourself. For others you are just of lump of living or vegetating tissues.

Transient unconsciousness therefore is the closest thing to death. It is a state when you miss everything, and luckily if you come back then you were alive and now come back to existence for yourself again.

I thought drowning is the closest you can get to experiencing death.

Assuming you survive, of course. :D

In the Holy Bible, death is described as "sleep". Hence if you sleep, it's as if you are dead.

Hence, the closest thing that we could experience death would be to have a deep sleep.

When we die, we are not necessarily unconscious, are we? One could be brain dead but there have been reports about people who see themselves in the hospital bed, and reports about people who see those ghostly things watching themselves by the bed...

hah! that statement is debunked the moment you hear my former landlord snore.

he can literally wake up the dead with those decibels.

kaya siguro sinasabi nila na lagi tayong nananaginip kahit tulog, minisan lang hindi natin natatandaan, kung dreamless sleep eh dead brain na, maybe its the way of brain to keep its self alive. yun siguro ang silbi ng panaginip.

pero how can you experience death, experience is learning and learning needs conciousness, experience needs to be registered to the brain para matandaan natin, and death is a braindead state.

tumpak jisc, in other words there is nothing to experience in death at all???

experience is when you go out and explore the universe or have sex with the world's top model and live to think about it.

death...it's like playing a blank cd or tape.
