When I was in Saudi, they pointed to me the spot where the remains of eve were buried, so it must be it. It is somewhere near a shopping district in Jeddah, near the Red Sea. But I don't beleive it.
She wasn't the first woman; there were other men and women around before, during, and after she gave birth to our ancestors. So she isn't "eve" as written in the Bible. Nagkataon lang that we all share her as an ancestor, and somehow all her contemporaries' mitochondrial DNA didn't make it to the present day.

Didn't God kicked them out of the Garden? Then the burial place is certainly not the location of Garden, that is if there is really such Garden.
Originally posted by ahmed If its true thats its in Africa, then Jeddah is just on the other side of the narrow Red Sea. God kicked Adam and Eve that hard.
Ok, I thought you are saying that the garden IS IN JEDDAH. Sorry
Many believe especially in Iraq that the Garden of Eden existed. I saw a report one time on CNN about this. It is near the Tigris River. A lot of the locals there believe that same spot is where the Garden of Eden used to. The reporter stood there too while doing the report.
I guess there's a lot of confusion on where did the Garden really stand.

You mean to tell me that we're supposed to take a pre-scientific society's view as the literal truth, just because it's in the Bible?
Only in the sense that "mitochondrial eve", based on the evidence in our mitochondrial DNA, is the most-recent common ancestor of all humans alive on Earth today with respect to matrilineal descent.

God di not create the bible. It is manmade. The correct question should be, "Are Christians of old liars?"
