    for real? :D
  • no way!!! is this for real?? sa philippines? im hoping that they'll price it good ... if so im gunning for the IS300 or ES300
  • What kind of Lexus? Is it a new variant of the Altezza? :)
  • the brand. i think what hexley is saying is that lexus will finally have their own dealerships here in manila (as opposed to being sold in cat and by independent dealers)

That's what I was trying to say. Toyota is planning to bring in the Lexus officially into the country.
  • I see... hehehehehe... I guess I was just a bit too hopeful for a new Altezza. :)

Yes, I've read about this in an article published in yesterday's Motoring Section of the Philippine Daily Inquirer. How I really wish Lexus would be sold in the Philippines even though for sure only a few (excluding poor old me - sob!) would be able to afford it.

Of course, refinement comes at a price - a stiff one at that but I'm sure it will be worth it. Anyway, price seems to be a non-issue for those who can afford this.

For me, I would want to see all models particularly the coupe/convertible SC430 (what a car!) and the very regal LS430. The GX470 could become one of the most expensive SUVs in the country - probably at least 6.0 M!

Technically, no other car manufacturer can bring in Lexus in Pinas other than Toyota since it's common knowledge that Lexus lives under the corporate umbrella of Toyota, just like Acura with Honda. However, in terms of price and practicality (if I'm still living) in Pinas, I'd rather put money on Honda or Toyota. :D
  • i hope they bring it down to "real world" prices. sus sobra lagi sa tax ksi e... SC430 pwede na ako! haha

    About time!

I wonder what models they'll introduce here? The IS200 is the only Lexus with a 'small' engine; the engines of all the rest of their models displace at least 3 liters.

I just hope they can keep their prices down.

haha.. I was gonna say... I'd settle for the SC430!!!

I still prefer the older model Altezzas vs. the IS300 versions..

The only diff between the older Altezzas and the newer Lexus IS versions is the engine and drivetrain, AFAIK... You can buy an IS with the nice 3 liter inline-six.

Plus, the Land Cruiser hasn't gone anywhere, it's still around :)
  • i saw one kanina malapit dito sa amin...

patawid kasi ako kaya 'di ko napansin yung model...sedan sya.

i had this notion dati na pag lexus ay puro suv lang na malalaki, may mga sedan din pala. hehehe... ;)
