is this allowed?

dr. ira i just want to ask if it is allowed to recommended a specialist doctor here for cases which i think needs a referral? can i mention the name of the doctor, his/her hospital affiliation and schedule? thanks!!!

    Sure, go ahead. I do that all the time myself, although for ethical reasons I don't take any cases here, nor do I refer people to very close friends lest I get accused of using this forum to enrich myself.

    You're welcome. Feel free to refer to any doctor if need be. It's PEx's goal to get people to be responsible for their health and to see a properly-trained physician instead of solely depending on someone else's heresay. I don't mind even if this forum just ends up triaging people to physicians, at least we can link people to doctors who can really help them.

    ei, thats cool. actually in the diabetes thread, i can refer a really good doctor to those pexers or their relatives who have diabetes. :D
