'ey! I drive a Holden .Not exactly mine...pahiram lang sa akin...pero I really like it.*okay*0

It's also Australia's lemon car. Pinaka madaming sinauli sa dealer lalo na yung commodore SS0

I noticed that the names of some of their models are Astra, Vectra and Zafira: all Opel models. Is Holden owned by Opel or vice versa? I checked the holden website and the cars do look alike (Holden and Opel models).0

Not quite sure though...pero siguro 'yun concept, relationship and business platform ng Holden-Opel is similar to that of Ford-Mazda or Toyota-Lexus.0 -

Both Holden and Opel are owned by General Motors, the same company that owns Chevrolet, Pontiac and Cadillac among others.
If I remember correctly, even the Philippines had Holden cars in the '70s. You could still see some during the '80s but mostly 'yung stunt cars na lang na pinapasabog sa movies.0 -
You could be right because all the Astras, Vectras and Zafiras are being imported into australia. Only the Holden Commodores are are Australian made.0

Mukha silang pareho kasi iniimport ng Holden mga opel sa Aus and then they just rebadge it...example is the Astra convertible.
Soon, Opel will be getting from Holden naman and then rebadge is as their own. I think commodore ata.
Honestly, ang panget ng mga kotse ng Holden at Opel. Even the monaro, di mukhang sports car. There are a lot of cars out there na masmaganda with the same performance. I think Australians are just buying it coz it's their own and they feel a strong affiliation to it.0 -
You know naman the Australians Very Patriotic and Nationalistic! But whatever you say I still like the Holden Monaro, its really good and affordable. HOLDEN for life.
Can anyone post their logo? I dont know how to post it.

Yes, Holden is a GM nameplate. There is even a Holden Suburban (a rebadged GM Suburban). A lot of the cars are derived from GM's European division (e.g. Vauxhall and Opel). But Holden does have their own development team to develop products tailored to the Aussie market (like droppin in a Corvette V8 into a humdrum sedan).
Holden's trucks and SUV's are rebadged Isuzus (via the GM-Isuzu partnership).
Sad to say, quality (except for the Japanese trucks) is still very GM.0 -

Ah, the Holden HSV GTS. On paper, it's more powerful than a 550 Maranello. And yeah, the build quality still sucks.
I'd pick a Brabus S58 over it anyday.0 -

I don't think the A$60,000 (US$42,000) tag for an entry level Monaro is affordable.0
