Cheap Eats

yeah we've heard of those "classy" resto on the other thread. places like congo grille, kavezo, aresi and what have you.

kapayapaan!!!

Aysee's sa tabi ng ULTRA. PhP60 ang presyo ng halos lahat ng ulam. Masarap din siya. :D
  • Try Rasa Singapura. I think it's along Kamuning, Q.C. The food is really cheap and really good. Forget the ambiance na lang.

Aysee's is the pinakasulit place I know. All of their food is really good, especially their sisig and their adobong pusit.
  • Aysee pa rin!!! Everything tastes good especially the sisig, the beefsteak, the pusit, the mushrooms...haaay basta lahat talaga!!!
  • Oh can i just add Behrouz Persian Food in QC (Timog Ave. ata yun). Super sarap ng Kabab's nila with Ox Brain pa! And it's really cheap...hindi nga lang masyadong maganda yung ambiance but what the hell, you came there for the food naman eh! :)
  • Kaibigan's sa tabi ng DLSU. sisig.. Yuummmmmm... :P
  • PePs: bout Mang Jimmy's - may bonus pang television, may-i-watch ka pa :)

fhunkeemonkee: mabubusog ka sa Mang Jimmy's dahil sa eat-all-you-can kanin :) you can also try this chinese resto along Malvar St. sa may Malate, can't remember the name (Hap Chan?), a friend recommended it. Try Wok In(n) too, nasa Malate din. Di nakakabutas ng bulsa :)
  • How about Kabayan on Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong near Cherry Foodarama? Sarap at mura ng Pinoy food. Also sa Binondo, there's the famous "tabi ng estero" The kainans there have no names pero duon ka sa may 2nd to the last sa dulo. Ang cook na intsik and owner-- he's a little beefy, (in his 40's?)When they have scallops, ORDER! Medyo zero sa ambience pero heaven sa chibog.
  • Peps si mang jimmy ba doon pa rin sa dating pwesto?? and yung softdrinks nila litro pa rin or 1.5 na?? u from UP what batch??
  • Meiji: Hap Chan!!! My dad and i eat there all the time! The place is small nga lang, siksikan pero the food's pretty good!!!
  • bunny: haven't tried the food yet, we were supposed to eat there once, but since there are only 7 tables, the place is small and all 7 tables were occupied, we had to eat somewhere else. sayang :( highly recommended pa man din ng friend namin.
  • bunny: You seem to like Chinese food. Hap Chan ain't much compared to WaiYing. It's at Benavidez St. near cor. Salazar. Servings are heftier and costs much less, not to mention HK quality food taste. Everything on the menu is worth trying. Food selection is quite similar to that of Hap chan, but better, I think.

Wah Yuen along Escolta is also worth visiting for inexpensive and great -tasting Chinese food. They also serve sashimi, sushi, tempura. To give you how reasonable their prices are: one coffee cupful of uni sashimi is only P150. Be prepared to sharpen your hearing, though. The noise there can sometimes be intolerable. But if you're there for the food, you need not talk to your friends while eating.

Yup, Buns, been to Wah Yuen myself several times c/o my dad who only eats Chinese food--it's the real McCoy and it's good!
  • peps ic. kasi dami namin kakilala kumakain doon that are from up i just wanted to know baka isa ka sa kanila... :) anyway thanks.. btw where did you grad?
  • Bunny: You tried Hap Chan na rin? I love it there! Used to hang out there twice a week. Hehe...

GUYS! Have you tried Lola Ely's tapsilogan sa Bambang? OKIE dun if nagutum kayo after Uh.. say.. 1pm! :)
  • bunny, my friends brought me to Behrouz Persian Food... man, cholesterol heaven! :) but then, so is Aysee's which I miss; love the sisig there.

pero ngayon hanggang Countryside lang ako - they got damn good chicken ***** and gizzard too.

mas masarap kumain pag mura talaga.
  • If you're in the Makati CBD area (where all places are expensive), try Usero Canteen at the back of Makati Med. Wide variety of food especially the inihaws, mga 40 to 60 pesos lang!

Another is Sosing's in Zobel Roxas. The best bulalo/nilaga. You have to be there early though.

I always eat at Best Friends Pares House on my way home. For me, they got the best pares even better than D'Original.

I ate at the branch off A. Roces and yup - while it's cafeteria ambiance, you can't eat Singporean food at at the price if you were at Singapore! I had Hainanese chicken rice and the indian barbecue (forgot the name!)
