  • it is possible with these words: Our experience defines who we are. The moment we regret a decision we make in the past we are regretting ourself. Thus, we ought to reflect those decisions but not to regret them but to see how far we progress from the totoy and nene that we were a few years ago.
  • to all pexers here in the realm of thought, why are you all here? is it because you're looking for questions that can maybe enlighten you of what you do not know you are searching for?
    or
is it just an exhaust that you want to look for questions to keep your mind busy with... because you cannot answer (and it troubles you) the simple questions of life, life itself and the point of living?
  • Hi! catchy handle, ha. what does PSY stand for? as in Pangako sa 'Yo?? :D

why are we here? or why am i here?

well, it's not really about looking for answers to questions about everyday life concepts, but more on "INTERACTING" with fellow Humans on this part of the web.

i've no difficulty whatsoever or trouble understanding my point of living on this planet, but it makes for more Meaning and Significance if you are also able to discover "things" that may otherwise be unknown, irrelevant, mysterious or uninteresting had you remained silent . . . and passive.

    nice questions. :)
  • yes it is possible.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

supernatural, everlasting peace ONLY comes from the Lord. I can testify to God's promise stated at the above verse.

    i honestly don't think so...

for one to be able to achieve total peace (as in peace of mind or peace withing thyself) one should be free from mental conflict which is an impossibility (e.g. presence of conscience, doubts etc...)
  • no.. 2 reasons...
...as long as there are questions...
...as long as there are wants...

if you rid yourself with the 2 aforementioned, you are at peace.

oh, and syempre, when you're dead, you're at peace narin :beam:

thanks..nice point of view miss.the curious mind, just because "you want to discover" and nothing bothering s into you that makes you think deeper than normal. by the way PSY doesnt stand for pangako sa ýo..it has the same sound of a syllable in my name thats why i use it.hehe
  • psy asked: you're looking for questions that can maybe enlighten you of what you do not know you are searching for?

nope. i have all the questions. And i have all the answers: hehe. Read Kant! he is God.
  • and then read Rand, she'd be the atheist :p
  • I'm not sure if I got the question right but peace within one's self is possible... just stating my POV...

Absolue peace is impossible unless you are dead. The body constantly seeks homeostasis due to the imbalances that multiple factors provide. This is not only in terms of physiological disturbances, but also emotional and mental as well.
  • at times of great anxiety, one sometimes feels oneself annihilated... one knows all that one knows yet one knows not suffering... one sheds tears, yet what one sheds are tears of peace... it is perhaps the nearest definition one can make of shantih...

    etc... MM
  • heidegger? hehe
  • oh, you mean M. Helldigger? well, he's the one that reminds you "hey! you've been daydreaming again!"
  • Yes... only when you are already dead.
  • jeff: i dont know, because when u r in the state of unconsciousness, can u really be at peace? given that u r not conscious of the idea of being at peace?
