hirap naman ng tanong mo. konti lang alam ko though nagbabasa naman ako ng Bible kahit papano. just correct me if am wrong.
after saul - di ba david succeeded him?
second covenant, hindi ba kay abraham? that he would become the father of all nations?
the next talking animal is a donkey?
siguro, i have to check again. kakapanood ko ulit ng The Ten Commandments na hiniram ko sa isang colleague na Muslim. I was again moved by the story.
thanks for posting this.0 -

The God of Christ speaks. He asks questions and replies to questions.
The Christian God is an interactive God, the only God amongst the religions of the world who is.
What is more, He keeps His flock attuned to Him with miracles and visions.
The following are some questions that He asked of man.
Tell us Whom did He ask these questions.
1. "How long will these people provoke me?"
2. "Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?"
3. "Who told thee that thou wast naked?"
4. "How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel?"
5. "I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for me?"
6. "Son of man, can these bones live?"
7. "What is this that thou hast done?"
8. "Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thys land? Or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies?"
9. "Shall I not spare Nineveh, that great city?"
10. "Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid."0 -

3. is it adam or eve? siguro adam.
4. david
9. jonah?
start with easier questions. mahirap kasi ang mga tanong mo. i have read the Holy Bible, from genesis to revelation pero laktaw laktaw. may ibang books din akong di binabasa, like songs of songs. pero mahirap talagang maging mabuting Kristiyano. it is a constant struggle.
sabi nga ni william makepeace thackeray (not the exact words but of same thought) "'tis easy to die for one's religion, but it's hard to live on what your religion teaches you".
pero bakit kaya it seems regular pexers are shunning this thread?
this is more fun.0 -
Realm of Thought Regulars do not argue if the thread requires no argument. I'm just suggesting that with this kind of topic, it's more appropriate to post in the said forum rather than here in the LAFI.
renz ...and hopefully, this thread wouldn't be ignored.
PEACE to both of you!0 -

1. moses is correct

4. Samuel (1 Samuel 16 :1)
9. Jonah is correct!
The questions only appear to be hard, but not for people who know the Bible well.
The object is to find out if one knows the Bible well, not interpret them well.
But let us go to the (easier) questions...0 -
Heto, mga apostoles....
1. Who was the first apostle to be martyred?
2. Who succeeded Judas Iscariot as an apostle?
3. Which apostle was a tax collector from Capernaum?
4. What apostle was probably crucified in Rome, head downward?
5. Who was called the beloved disciple?
6. Which apostle, originally a disciple of John the Baptist, was supposed to have been crucified on an X-shaped cross?
7. Which of the apostles is the only one who is supposed to have died a natural death?0 -
The Bible is written in allegories and methapors with the purpose of spreading the word of faith.
Hardly was there room for for the writers to record history for, after all, they were not the historians that we know today.
None of them had the foresight to know that their works were to be dissected word for word, and inter-related author by author.
This Book is not written by one man. It is not even compiled by one man.
Indeed none of them speak the language that we speak now, and derive the meaning of a word the same meaning that we are accustomed to.
In other words, the Bible is a compilation of works meant to communicate with the hearts of people---people who have already heard of this faith and seek more strength.
The Book is not meant to convert other people to the faith. Rather it is meant to strengthen the faith of people in God.
Alas it is found that there are more people who belong to the skeptics and/or other religions that know more about the Bible passages than Christians themselves. In truth the attacking forces should know more about the defenses of a fort than the defenders themselves. The attackers must find a weakness to bring down the fort. How else could they bring it down if they don't find the weakness?
But it is said: "One does not have to find out how many nails hold his chair together, and how well it will hold him up, if he has faith that his chair will hold him up."0 -

O, huwag ka ng mamilipit diyan sa sarap!
Pero mali! Jehovah is the name that they call God.
But not the name to make Him come, este, here!O come, O come, ___________
And ransom captive Israel
That mourns the lonely exile here.
Until the Son of God appears
Rejoice, rejoice, O Israel!
To Thee shall come the Lord, __________
The answer is in the blanks! And it means "God with us!"0
