You can never know and experience the Holy Spirit if you don't have Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Why don't you try Him? You'll be a winner!0 -

well to us, Jesus is the way to THE GOD, then He sends His HS...,
so i guess you woudn't know what bro. abu is talking about....0 -

I would know because I was a Christian.
39:45
When GOD ALONE is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion. But when others are mentioned beside Him, they become satisfied.0 -
Yup, and I also studied the doctrines of ADD and got involved with born agains.
For me, it is not what you experience that counts for that can be deceiving, especially those that involve healing, being slain in the spirit, and all those "miraculous" stuff.
For me, the best arguments are the criteria.
39:18
They are the ones who examine all words, then follow the best. These are the ones whom GOD has guided; these are the ones who possess intelligence.
Not experience.0 -
Without the Holy Spirit individual Christians from different denominations will not be united in love.
Without the Holy Spirit the sinner will not come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Without the Holy Spirit the Gospel message will be without power to regenerate a man dead and slave to sin to a true believer free to worship God.
Without the Holy Spirit the dog will return to its vomit and the sow will go back to wallow in the mire.
Without the Holy Spirit there will be no Scripture and if there is a Scripture the mystery therein will not be understood.
Without the Holy Spirit the Church will an orphan, left behind without a Shepherd.
Without the Holy Spirit the Church will be dead and there will be no revival in the land.
Without the Holy Spirit Christianity will be just blind head knowledge lacking experience.
Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for sending us the Holy Spirit, reviving us and uniting us in love with one another and with you making Him dwell within us. Fill us with your Spirit O, Lord, that revival will sweep the land and many will come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus and his Good News. Amen.0 -
and amen to that, abuGian.
ahmed, i agree with you that those "healings" and "slaying in the spirit" stuff in those so-called born again christian TV are bogus. if you listen to what their leaders say, many of their beliefs are extra-biblical and fall outside the pale of christian orthodoxy (something akin to a muslim believer in the hadith would be to a "quran-only" muslim).
also maybe you mean that "feelings" can be deceiving, not "experience"?0 -

Hi loser!
As u know the Holy Spirit u will be a sure winner!!!
Holy Spirit is actually the spirit of God that dwells in us, himself living in us, a gift of God to us as a result of repentance and baptism. God manifest his love for us by bringing His spirit or the Holy Spirit to our body and soul. That is why our body is sacred because it is the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. Of course, the Holy Spirit cannot dwell in us if we are in a state of sin. So we need 2 repent 4 our sins and be baptized.
Through the Holy Spirit man can perform miracles, overcome great difficulties in life or even do impossible things, healing, wisdom, decernment, speaking in tongues, prophesy, vision n so fort. These are the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Extraordinary events that happened in a person's life as he call upon Gods help. If u have these experiences then share 8 with us! 4 Bible pssgs ACTS2 2:17-19, 2:38:)0 -
Hey guys! I will share 2 u this incredible story, actually iko-quote ko na lang about the Ant and the Contact Lens, a true to life story!
Brenda was a young woman who was invited to go rock climbing. Although she was scared to death, she went with her group to a tremendous granite cliff.
In spite of her fear, she put on the gear, took a hold on the rope, and started up the face of that rock.Well, she got to a ledge where she could take a breather.
As she was hanging on there, the safety rope snapped againstBrenda's eye and knocked out her contact lens. Well, here she is on a rock ledge, with hundreds of feet below her and hundreds of feet above her. Of course, she looked and looked and looked, hoping it had landed on the ledge, but it just wasn't there. Here she was, far from home, her sight now blurry.
She was desperate and began to get upset, so she prayed to the Lord to help her to find it. When she got to the top, a friend examined her eye and her clothing for the lens, but there was no contact lens to be found. She sat down, despondent, with the rest of the party, waiting for the rest of them to make it up the face of the cliff. She looked out across range after range of mountains, thinking of that Bible verse that says, "The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth." She thought, "Lord, You can see all these mountains. You know every stone and leaf, and You know exactly where my contact lens is. Please help me."
Finally, they walked down the trail to the bottom. At the bottom there was a new party of climbers just starting up the face of the cliff. One of them shouted out, "Hey, you guys! Anybody lose a contact lens?" Well, that would be startling enough, but you know why the climber saw it? An ant was moving slowly across the face of the rock, carrying it.
Brenda told me that her father is a cartoonist. When she told him the incredible story of the ant, the prayer, and the contact lens, he drew a picture of an ant lugging that contact lens with the words, "Lord, I don't know why You want me to carry this thing. I can't eat it, and it's awfully heavy.
But if this is what You want me to do, I'll carry it for You."
I think it would probably do some of us good to occasionally say, "God, I don't know why you want me to carry this load. I can see no good in it and it's awfully heavy. But, if you want me to carry it, I will."
God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
Yes I do love GOD. He is my source of existence and my savior. He keeps me functioning each and every day. Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Phil4:13)

You may only encounter the Holy Spirit if you accept Christ as Lord and Saviour in your life and the fruits of the Holy Spirit follows next. Without it.... never gonna happen and baliktarin man ang mundo di nyo ito maiintindihan....
remember in the last day... maraming kulto ang lalabas at sasabihin nila na nasa kanila ang Holy Spirit, sila si Kristo at blaha blah blah... slain dito at slain doon, miracle dito at miracle doon.... niwey, the bible said test every spirit... baka maling spirito pala yun. by their fruits youwill know them.
okies...0 -
The GOD is all powerful. He has no partners in His glory. Nothing else.0 -
for me the HS is the least appreciated among the blessed trinity. i feel experiences with Him are the most recurrent and common.0

Hi Triple Threat!
I feel the same thing 2. In christian doctrine we have one God in three persons; God the father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is called the BLessed Trinity. In our arithmetic we are taught that 1+1+1 = 3 but in our faith with God 1+1+1 = 1. How can this be? Actually no one knows why. It is a mystery and only God can explain this to us and since we are limited in our human intellect we can never fully understand this mystery, it is like understanding an ocean can be contained in a cup! We simply have to accept this and have faith in God who created everything!
Its quite true as you have said that among the Blessed Trinity, the Holy Spirit seems to be the least appreciated or thought about. In our life we may not be aware in the Holy Spirit presence but it is actually very active in us. Whenever we invoke upon Gods help in our day to day troubles, God sends us his Holy Spirit to give us strenght, courage, wisdom n so fort to help us in our journey in life. In the same way that we thank our Lord Jesus for his love for us, we owe the same gratitude and appreciation to the Holy Spirit for being with us and keeping us safe and at peace!:)0 -
