Cute, but if I'm going to cough out over PhP1 million anyway, I'd rather buy a BMW 316i or a Pajero.

Costs a lot of money for what it offers. For the money I would look for a nice used car like a 1996 Audi A4 which I know can be had here in the US for the price of a new Beetle.

Great car, great design, greater price. It is indeed an excellent car but a bit expensive for its class. VW, however, is coming up with a reasonably priced beetle. This does not take away the luxury but a bit of engine power.

The TDI engines are great. Lower top speed but great torque (meaning great pick-up upon flooring the gas). Also it's very fuel effecient. A 1.8 TDI VW engine consumes between 5 to 7 liters of diesel for every 100 km. This means one liter can run upto 14 km. This is very earth friendly.

I'm not so sure what small cars are available in RP. To name a few: Audi A3, VW Golf (small, comparable to the old Mit. Mirage), VW Polo (smaller), VW Lupo (smallest), Toyota Yaris, Mercedes A Class, Ford Focus and Opel Astra or Vectra (don't know which is smaller).

VW Golf has been the best selling car in Europe for 20 years. Audi has more luxury. Toyota Yaris is an award winning car in Europe. What can I say about a Mercedes?

yup yup! the TT is the best. It's by Audi, the sister company of automotive Giant VW.

if you do decide to get the TT, get the top down version!
