Philippine Army is a win away from a title after defeating Cagayan in four sets, 25-19, 18-25, 25-18, 25-5.
Army's Rachel Daquis bagged the MVP and Best Server award. While Alyssa Valdez of Ateneo was awarded Best Scorer. Other awards, Best Attacker: Jaja Santiago, National University Best Blocker: Maika Ortiz, Philippine Air Force Best Setter: Rhea Dimaculangan, Philippine Air Force Best Receiver: Lizlee Ann Gata-Pantone, PLDT Home Telpad Best Digger: Shiela Pineda, Cagayan Valley
After a shaky first set, the Philippine Air Force Spikers bounced back to finish off the PLDT Turbo Boosters in four sets, 16-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-12.
Jeron Teng (25 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists) and the Green Archers had no problems against the Tamaraws on Saturday, defeating them 94-73. With the win, La Salle has forced a second game on Wednesday, 6pm, for a prestigious slot in the UAAP Finals.
Reserve guard JJ Alejandro posted a career-best 20 points (6/7 FGs) and 4 assists to lead the National University Bulldogs to a convincing 78-74 Final Four win over the Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles.
The FEU Tamaraws secured the #2 seed in the Final Four after beating the DLSU Green Archers, 65-60. Mike Tolomia had 19 points to lead the charge for the Tamaraws.
Bong Galanza blew a chance to win it for UE with an open three-point attempt in the dying seconds of the game. National U hung on to their lead and won the game, 51-49.
The NU Pep Squad successfully retained their Cheerdance title as they finished first in the 2014 UAAP Cheerdance Competition, followed by runner-up UP Pep Squad and the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe at 3rd place.
