Agree ako in a way... the level of competition is quite high, but I can't say the same for the level of originality. Panay kopyahan!
"Tabing Ilog" is an unabashed rip-off of "Dawson's Creek" and there's that other show patterned after "7th Heaven." "Click" and "Gimmick" just followed suit after "TGIS" became successful. And oh! oh! I know! Let's recycle Kwarta o Kahon with more money, louder hosts and disguise it under different names like "Meron o Wala" and "Pera o Bayong."
Lest you think I am a grumpy chick, there are some shows that are worth watching -- admittedly in this day and age, there are no new ideas but you can stretch it and twist it to make it refreshing. Shows like "Kool Ka Lang" and "Ispup" are striving to be more original and genuinely funny -- kudos to those guys.
Uy. Parang nag-thesis statement ata ako dito. Hehe.
