If you're going to pursue a job that is concerned on HR stuff/Labor Codes/Labor Stuff etc etc, then I'll recommend this program for you.

Nung undergraduate ko, never gave attention sa SOLAIR. Never pay a visit hehe. But just got an idea of what the program was after I got an elective subject "Labor &Economy" under Sir Amante, our VP for Admin. Never I expected that I enjoyed the class. Just got a slight pressure when I had to work on my research paper. But surely, you'll learn a lot.

Dun dun dun. Haha. (sorry, slow day sa office).

  4. #64
Why not make this a sticky thread so more grad students (who are probably not so busy at the moment) would get to see this and eventually make this thread attractive to potential/incoming U.P. grad students and also U.P. grad school alumni who want to give advices?

    What do you think?

Oks sana, kung pwede yun. Haha. Though yung ibang thread, like UP Dil, UP Mla, UP Los Banos, di sila naka-sticky. May chance kaya? Hehe.

Wala naman, basta may working knowledge ka in Math and Physics you will be OK. in demand ito sa ibang bansa though PAG-ASA really needs brilliant minds (and hands) as well. 3 yung kilala kong kumukuha niyan ngayon, yung (UP) undergrad courses nila Geography, Applied Physics, may mga classmates daw sila na Nursing at ECE ang undergrad (non-UP). keri lang naman

Bongga ang dalawang MS courses ng IESM (aslong with MS Envi Sci) mukhang in demand dahil sa Global Warming chuchu na feeling ko naman ay hindi anthropogenic.

Ehehehe.

Mukhang mahina aang MS Meteorology nitong nakaraang mga taon, a?

Hi there! I am currently taking up MA Ed in SPED. A not-so fresh graduate actually, but I started this program quite early. So far, I'm enjoying my classes (though it's hard work!) but all the learning's worth it.

Anyone here also in the MA Ed program?

  15. #75
    guys! Patulong!

I'm taking up MS Applied Math.

Alin ba mas magandang piliin? Yung thesis or non-thesis option?

And if non-thesis, how hard will the oral and comprehensive exam be?

I'm in Econ, and we also have the same option for finishing up the Masters. Syempre, it's also a matter of how much time can you devote to studying, or if you already have a job.

Taking a thesis generally takes up more time overall, but you can spread it out eh.

Anyway, ask around in your department, I bet they'll be more helpful rin.

Anyway, let's keep this thread up, guys! Halos wala akong kakilala outside of my department eh, I'd be interested in hearing the perspective of other grad students.

Thanks for taking time to reply

I've already asked around and all of them have chosen the thesis option. As in LAHAT! hehe

Actually, I told my adviser last sem that I'm considering the non-thesis option (kasi feeling ko less time-consuming at less stressful) but she kept on pushing me to do thesis nalang... Argh!

I haven't even enrolled yet kasi magdedepend yung number of units na kukunin ko sa choice ko (thesis/non-thesis)... Ikaw?

Ideally, if you do the exam, you'd want other people to study with you.

Anyway, no choice ako with my program eh, but I'll do it next year pa.

Oh and I'm enrolling tomorrow, maybe.
