I've been an SK fan since college and have read most of his books. I've recently started listening to his books on audio and it's very addicting. It makes the commute/drive to and from work seem shorter and more tolerable.

Stephen King actually believe you'll enjoy his books better when you listen to it being narrated. He narrates some of his audiobooks.

Like a singer/songwriter, SK read audiobooks are great to listen to. But even SK would say, specially from the afterwords from the Wolves of Calla, that Frank Muller is the greatest. Sadly he died from a motorcycle accident after reading a few books from DT series. Only to be replaced by another legend - George Guiddal. I'm still looking for the The Wavedancer Benefit that raised money to save Frank Muller from the accident. The benefit show was Stephen King, John Grisham, Pat Conroy and Peter Straub onstage live to read their stories in front of paying audience to raise money for Frank Mullers operations.

I listened to one of his audiobooks that SK narrated himself, I think it was Wind through the Keyhole. Hmm ... I think he should stick to storywriting and leave the storytelling to others. He's a great storywriter but his voice lacks flexibility and range to portray the different characters in his story.
