I don't know about the new Carrie film. Piper Laurie's performance from the original film will be hard to beat.

I guess so Noz. It's his first and Brian de Palma and the whole cast went through a lot making the film. Even Steven Spielberg hanged out on the set and met his future wife. Lots of Hollywood trivia about it too. The soundtrack will make or break the latest version. The theme song I never dreamed someone like you could love someone like me by Katie Irving went from sweet to eerily haunting after watching the film. One of the most iconic music track from SK's films.

Never really been a fan of scary movies and books though. Not that I don't think they're well made, it's just... Di ko lang talaga trip the vibes I get whilst reading or watching them. That's just me. So on Stephen King, I guess I'm on the fence specifically on his scary stories.

I remember watching a dvd of 1408 (I believe this was adapted from a short story) with a bunch of friends. Grabe affected talaga ako with that movie, no joke. Praning with a capital, screaming P.
