a good cooking school would be CACS, center for asian culinary arts
it's in cafe ysabel 455 P.guevarra st. san juan
if you want more details on their courses, you can call 7269326 and look for either marilyn or glady.![]()
CCAC
Chinese Culinary Arts Center
I don't know the number
But it's along Vicente Cruz Street near Dapitan MCDO.![]()
wow.. thank you sa inyo.. pag natuto ako tuturuan ko kayo.. hehe![]()
i'm curious about cooking lessons being offered by a number of culinary "experts"... ex. Heny Sison offers this 3 month long course na basic cooking and baking ata iyon, and the classes are every saturday from 8am to 4 pm.
okay ba ang mga ganitong classes? hands on ba iyong training: from pamamalengke, choosing the ingredients, pano maghiwa, substitute for ingredients na di available... kumpleto kaya ang itinuturo? i wanna learn to cook, not just follow recipes kasi kung following recipes lang, madali na yun diba.
please share your recommendations and comments kung sino may experience na dito.
I think CSB offers such courses.....
can anyone suggest good culinary schools? i really want to study at CCA Manila but the fees are way beyond my dad's budget. hmm..mas okay if they offer those diploma or degree courses.

ANIMO BENILDE & LASALLE! PEAce!
polene: am also looking for other culinary school, CCA for me is kinda far, that's near Ateneo right? ......where is IHRS? do they have a website? ...there's a culinary art school in Buendia also, i think the name is "Asian culinary school" ?? am not quite sure ha...i need more infos pa.
crash: hello!andito ka din pala
its a toss between CCA and DLSU-College of St. Benilde. but you could never go wrong in choosing CSB-HRIM. its expensive, thats true, but its worth every cent. if not satisfied with the website, try coming over and take a look.
try the Center for Asian Culinary Studies, Cafe Ysabel in san juan.
ok dun... there is this intensive 9 month professional course and also a basic skills course (every saturday) for 4 months. the price is reasonable...
di sa sinisiraan ko ang csb, but ive had a very very bad dining experience at angelo king (where the ones who prepared the meal were students). di naman sa nilalahat ko rin... but that experience was so bad. i mean, graduating na *** students na nagluto for the dinner and they served burnt soup! complete with floating black specks...
i guess those kids didnt pay attention in class...
canard: what a bad experience. good thing it didn;t happen to us when we dine there or else i wud complain![]()
radialhaed: CSB isn't that expensive, i think abt P40K don diba? i heard from a friend pa sa CCA, it's abt P200K per sem.....na shock naman ako doon...is it true?
what abt the International Culinary School in Paco. ok ba don?
hey guys! thanks sa mga replies niyo
dragueur: IHRS located siya sa ortigas center sa parc chateu bldg, i forgot the street basta likod yun ng strata 2000 bldg. la sila website eh, pero here's the phone #6378620, usually me advertisement din sila sa manila bulletin every sunday. and me tinatayo rin ata silang branch sa katipunan lapit sa CCA (eh malayo nga sayo ba't sinasabi ko pa!hahaha!)
crash: nakita ko na rin yung sa CSB, ok naman yung curriculum nila kaya lang natatagalan nanay ko sa two years
CCA naman you still have to take their entrance exam before nila i-discuss kung magkano.
di ko pa na-check out yung ICS and CACS.
CSB has partnered with CCA for a one year course, go to CSB web you'll find the info there.Originally posted by dragueur

I'm not sure though if Gene Gonzalez is still handling the professional course. He told me once that he wanted to stop muna from teaching to concentrate on writing his own book na ala Culinary Artistry.
Too bad din, Jill Sandique left na the school. I wonder din if Buddy Trinidad is good.
