Hi. we're trying to form a club for Star Trek fans in the Philippines. If you're interested, please visit the website at http://ufpi.themall.ph and subscribe to the mailing list. Once we have enough members, we will be organizing activities that are consistent with the goals of the club.
Glad to hear from fellow trekkies!
I remember this Star Trek documentary shown by HBO, it was produced and hosted by Denise Crosby (Tasha Yar) it featured the stars from the Classic, TNG, Voyager, etc. Enjoyably it featured some true to the bone trekkies too! the conventions and the all-time debate on who's the best captain in the ST universe...
I also watched Galaxy Quest! hehe what a riot that movie was...
Anyway, I love the ST:TNG series! I had a major crush on Lt. Cmdr. Data at first then Q pops up! I love John De Lancie's performance as an undefeatable yet endearing archenemy! I love the episode when he introduces the Borg to the TNG crew. well I heard he was in a Voyager episode din...
Can't wait to see the The Enterprise (though I think the whole prequel idea isn't necessary and would do a lot more harm than good to the ST universe) Scott Bakula did pretty well in Quantum leap doing a variety of roles from being a transvestite to a chimp...but as a pre-Starfleet Captain that I have to see![]()
i use to watch ST:the next generation and loved it but i ST kinda lost it when they started airing deep space nine. personally i love voyager and i can't wait for enterprise...
hehehehe quantum leap brings back some memories.

There's a new Star Trek series debuting in the fall called "Star Trek: Enterprise" and it stars Scott Bakula of "Quantum Leap" fame as Captain Jeffrey Archer, the Captain of the first USS Enterprise...
Hi, we're trying to organize a Star Trek Fan Club in Metro Manila. Any trekkies out there? Please visit our pre-launch website at http://ufpi.themall.ph and subscribe to our mailing list. Live long and prosper.
This means they'll be showing women in mini-skirt uniforms??? Oh wow!!! :lol
Whatever happened to the Borg?

I love ST: Voyager!
Favorite characters: Captain Kathryn Janeway
and her numero uno Commander Chakotay
JetC Rules!![]()
I'm an avid Voy fan but TPTB destroyed it!
It became a Boobie Borg show..whatever
happened to other characters... TPTB betrayed
the loyal fans by putting the C/7 fiasco!nuff said...
Just ranting...![]()
TNN is running a "Star Trek the Next Generation" marathon this week! Five whole days, nothing but "ST:TNG" all day long! A Trekker's delight!![]()
At last a a local Trekker Club.![]()
Care to join us? We'll be meeting soon. Just visit the website at http://ufpi.themall.ph and subscribe to the mailing list.
Hey! Philippine based trekkies! they're finally showing voyager. It 's on the Hallmark channel everyday at 11 pm with replays at 7 pm the next day. Just thought you'd like to know.
If the story of this new Star Trek is series is during the old days (before Captain Kirk) then it means that they'll be wearing those short skirts and low cleavages. (grrr)Originally posted by MeowPao

The Borg is still in the Delta Quadrant during that time. Starfleet is still investigating the Alpha Quadrant.
I don't think that they'll be wearing short skirts because the show is supposed to be pre-starfleet. Anyhow I already saw Scott Bakula on E! and he was wearing a jumpsuit. I think some of the female characters are wearing catsuits a la Seven.Originally posted by xyzseaman

A long, long time ago
I can still remember how that starship used to make me feel
And I knew if I had my way
That I could make those people stay
And maybe we'd be happy for a while
But Paramount filled me with woe
They cancelled my favorite Sci Fi show
Bad news on the Enterprise
Jean-Luc said his last "Energize"
I can't remember if I cried
When I read about their final ride
But something touched me deep inside
The day that Star Trek died
So,
CHORUS
Bye, bye U.S.S. Enterprise
Our Starship was a great ship, but it no longer flies
And that Starship crew was drinking synthetic rye
Singing "This will be the day that I die",
"This will be the day that I die."
Did you write the Prime Directive
And are your outer shields protective
Paramount wasn't groovy
At least you'll be back in the movie
Can sequels save your mortal soul
And why does warp now always seem so slow
Well, I know that you'll be back again
'Cause I saw you in a convention
You said you will be back
Paramount doesn't ever slack
I was a lonely trekker, with just enough
Had a communicator and alot of stuff
But I knew I breathed my last puff
On the day that Star Trek died
I started singing...
CHORUS
Now for sev'n years we've been on our own
Aliens proving we're not alone
But that's not how it used to be
Though we all know The Next Generation
Started with Q at Farpoint Station
And a voice that came from you and me
Oh, and while Picard was looking down
That Q, he chased our ship around
The courtroom was adjourned *
No verdict was returned *
And now Picard doesn't want to go
So Q comes back for the final show
And we yelled no no no no no
The day that Star Trek died
We were singing...
CHORUS
The seventh season is almost done now
Those last two hours won't seem so fun now
That one day is comin' fast
Picard flies through future and past
He's always the one who Q's harrassed
At least this time it will be his very last
Now the Enterprise was made for me
Picard and all his Earl grey Tea
We all sit down to look
Oh, at the last chapter of his book
'Cause those last two hours should be great
When Q wipes clean Jean-Luc's slate
Do you recall what was revealed
The day that Star Trek died
We started singing...
CHORUS
Oh, and there we were all in one place *
A generation lost in space *
But no time left to start again *
So come Picard be nimble, Jean-Luc be quick
The omnipotent Q, he makes you sick
'Cause trick'ry's the Continuum's only friend
Oh, and as I watched the final show
It was the only way to go
No angel born in hell
Could break that Q boy's spell
And as the ship flew deep into the night
To fly its final flight
I saw that Q laughing with delight
The day that Star Trek died
He was singing...
CHORUS
I met a girl who sang the blues
And I asked her for some happy news
But she just smiled and turned away
I went down to the Star Trek club
Where I'd watched the show n' eat my grub
But the leader said the show wouldn't play
And in the streets the children screamed
The Trekkies cried and the Trekkers dreamed
But not a word was spoken
The Translators all were broken
And the three men I admire most
Kirk, Picard and The Great Bird's ghost
They caught the wag'n train for the stars
The day that Star Trek died
And they were singing...
CHORUS
They was singing...
CHORUS
[ By the way, the starred lines are some of those which I didn't change
from the original and seem kind of coincidental. ]

Wow, a reference to "The Great Bird of the Galaxy" a.k.a. Gene Roddenberry! Amazing what you can find off the Internet!![]()
The series premiere of "Star Trek Enterprise" garnered huge ratings and actually won it's time slot, giving UPN it's highest time slot ratings ever!
The 2nd episode last wednesday dealt with the crew encountering a ship with it's crew all dead and the aliens who killed them are now going after the Enterprise crew and it was up to the ship's translator, Ensign Hoshi Sato, to try to communicate with another alien race (since the universal translator had not been perfected yet at that time) to try to help them. Needless to say, Hoshi learns their language just in the nick of time, and the enemy ship is destroyed.
One of the best parts of the episode was listening to Scott Bakula trying to make first contact with the aliens and he says "This is Captain Jonathan Archer of the Starship Enterprise." I think Bakula will do well following in the footsteps of Kirk and Picard.
The Enterprise crew's wardobe is rather drab, kinda plain looking blue jumsuits, with some colored piping around the shoulders. The best outfit is the one Jolene Blaylock as Vulan Sub-Commander T'Pol wears. A really skin tight grey oufit, kinda like the outfit 7 of 9 wore. Va-va-va VOOM!!![]()
bravo! so cool! i've never seen this song before. yup, i felt how dissappointed i was when i heard TNG 7th season will be its last. man, the memories....Originally posted by blue[]ce
