Duterte admits he cant control drug after a year of...

sabi na nga ba mahirap ang sobra ang kayabangan

With the Philippines’ War on Drugs – so far claiming up to 7,000 lives – in its second year, firebrand President Rodrigo Duterte now says his nation cannot fix the problem due to lack of equipment, difficult terrain and the brevity of his presidential term.
Duterte made the stunning remark while speaking to medical staff in Davao City on Friday, according to CNN Philippines. Lamenting difficulties of scaling down the drug problem, he argued that other nations had failed there too.

“Others can’t do it. How can we? Those drugs, we can’t control it,” Duterte admitted.

The Filipino strongman, who came to power on the back of his promise to defeat drug lords and prevent his country from devolving into a “narco-state,” complained that having a lengthy coastline was too much of a challenge.

It is difficult to protect Philippines shores and thousands of adjacent islands from illicit drug trafficking, Duterte said.

“We do not have the equipment, [it's not enough]. And you know the coastline,” he added.

Earlier this week, he said time was too short for a one-term presidency to cope with the problem. “Look, [drugs] et cetera cannot be solved by one man for a president for one term,” he said on Wednesday at a business forum, according to Manila Bulletin.

He then compared the situation with that in the US, which – according to Duterte – is even worse.

“America is under siege because of drugs. And they are far worse than us. Yes, of course, they do not admit it,” he said, claiming that President Donald Trump has even copied his language on drug abuse.

“Until now, I said, they’re fighting a useless war there that never ends. And the sad part of it is that most of the drugs are provided by their good neighbors,” Duterte added.

Hindi na talaga, kasi naipasok na ang "contrabando" ni Polong. Masusundan pa ng marami yan lalo na tinumba na ang mga karibal na Parohinog-Odicta-Espinosa triad. This is now the age of Polong Duterte-Peter Lim-Kenny Dong cartel. Complete control of drug trade sa Pilipinas ang mangyayari dito.

So there goes the "total war on drugs" pitch of none other than the biggest mastermind scammer of all, the tigul-it, devil incarnate PDutduts.

Duterte thinks he can murder emotional and mental problem to oblivion. Drug addiction is a symptom. the problem is societal structure and influence. I'm not saying that he should not control the symptom particularly when its hurting too much.

In this matter, he is a sincere but ignorant president. Thus I dont expect the real illness to be address at all. so no cure will come from him.

In a nut shell "he is barking at the wrong tree"

Duterte: Don’t believe I can end crime in 6 months? Bayot ka!

MANILA, Philippines – Rodrigo Duterte has something to say about politicians and critics who don’t think he can quash crime, drugs, and corruption in 6 months.

“Sabi ng mga kalaban ko, imposible raw. Kasi bayot kayo!” he said during a farmers’ election forum on Wednesday, February 3, in Quezon City. (My enemies say, it’s impossible. Because they're sissies!)

Duterte has been repeatedly saying he will end criminality, drugs, and corruption in government in 3 to 6 months.

He envisions himself as the discipline-enforcer of a country where, he constantly laments, “following the law is only an option.”

The timeline he has given himself is stringent, he admitted, but not impossible.

Those who say so only lack the political will, he insisted.

“Hindi nila kaya. Kasi alam mo mga ‘yan takot mapreso. Takot magkamali, takot pumatay, takot mamatay. Kasi bakit, mayaman. Ang mga mayaman, takot mamatay, nawiwili sa pera,” he told reporters after the event.

(They can’t do it. They are scared to go to prison. They are scared to make mistakes, to kill, to die. Why? Because they are rich. The rich are scared to die because they are hooked on money.)

Duterte, who has said he would “gladly die” at the hands of a druglord, maintained that he is the only presidential bet with the political will to end the “oppression” of the people.

“Tayo, anumang wilihin natin, we can go anytime, wala naman tayong pera,” he said. (We, whatever we wish, we can go anytime, I don’t have any money.)

In the platform he shares with running mate Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, Duterte has promised to use all the powers of the presidency to end crime.

He intends to accomplish this by increasing salaries of police and military, creating special criminal courts for the speedy trial of heinous crimes, and retiring corrupt policemen and generals.

To stop corruption, he said he would call for the abolition of the pork barrel system and the opening of bank accounts of politicians for public scrutiny.

He also supports the passage of the Freedom of Information Act.

His honesty is refreshing. So jet-skiing to Panatag is hyperbole, while his promise of eradication of the drug problem in six months is a failure.

    He's still an idiot.
