MR. BENSON - JOHN PRESTON
Jamie wears his tightest jeans to the leather bar and makes sure the handsome, unsmiling top across the room gets a good view of his assets. But this is no ordinary leatherman, no weekend daddy: this is Mr. Aristotle Benson. Lucky Jamie is about to get an education and to being his journey form a cute but forgettable clone to a compliant, hard-bodied slave, sensitive to his Master's every glance and gesture. John Preston's classic S/M story was first published in the heady, post-Stonewall sex boom of the late 1970s and quickly became an underground favorite, inspiring T-shirts that declared: "Looking for Mr. Benson."
I can recommend "21:30 Old Compton Fair Blue 6 Feet”
Author: "Marco Villa”
ISBN 1467000353 or 978-1467000352
It’s a light and yet intensive book like Uhlman’s ”Reunion”. There is everything from travel adventures in Europe, America, Middle East, Asia, Africa to love stories, from dating, to friendship. It is set in the late nineties to our days and outlined by the historical events we all know and their influence in the main character.

I wonder where we can buy stuff like this. Books like this are stacked in a locked glass shelf. It seems to me like you have to know the book title and tell the staff specifically what you want.
I wonder why they have to do that really. Gay lit isn't just erotic literature for LGBTs. And when you go to a bookshop you usually just scan books and eventually when some book piqued your interest, that's the only time you'll go to the counter and pay for it.
There's no chance in hell, that people will stumble in a book. National Katipunan has Remoto's titles in sheld which is good in my opinion but I do hope that other NB follows suit.
Hello guys i'm selling used books, and i agree gay/lesbian literature are hard to come by. The only title i have in hand is the critically acclaimed historical novel, Tipping the Velvet by Sarah Waters. If you're interested, you can pm or email me at thebibliopreneur@gmail.com
I have a thread where i provided a list of books readily available and they're regularly updated. Click here
Btw, if you have orders or special requests for titles not listed i will gladly accommodate them.
Thanks.![]()

YOU KNOW YOU'RE GAY WHEN ... - JOSEPH COHEN
Sa Philippine gay literature, mayroon Ladlad (collection of essays and poetry) at mga books ni Louie Cano (in Tagalog).
Kaunti lang ang mga Philippine gay stories in English. Novel nga yata wala.
Orosa-Nakpil, Malate is a famous LGBT-themed book by a local, relatively young author. It received some local citations as it talked about HIV.
Orosa-Nakpil, Malate is a self-published novel by a student named Louie Mar Gangcuangco in 2006. The story revolves around Dave, a young medical student who frequently goes to Malate. In Barn, a bar that houses a dark room, he meets the men who entangle him in a web of love, vengeance, and sex.
The information that Gangcuangco presents in this novel regarding the Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (HIV-AIDS) offers an entirely fresh approach to presenting factual, consistent and most recent scientific data, woven into a plot of romance, vengeance, mercy and forgiveness. In his narrative, Gangcuangco reiterates relevant issues about HIV-AIDS, especially men having sex with men, sustaining the interest of the reader in an erotic yet amusing and witty manner. Fallacies about the virus and advisories about safe sex are consistently reaffirmed amidst the compelling dialogues and discourses emanating from the many colorful and controversial characters of the novel.
Synopsis
Orosa-Nakpil Malate is a gay themed story that revolves around a University of the Philippines, Manila Intarmed freshman by the name of John David “Dave” de Jesus who looked for fun but found love and life in the liberated world of Orosa-Nakpil streets in Malate, Manila. Dana, his Intarmed classmate and his best friend, served as his “fairy godmother” while he goes on his sexcapades in Malate. She kept him strong at and stayed at his side during his toughest times at school and in love and turned him from an innocent rural gay into an outgoing urban gay hottie.
I have only read two "Pink" lit and I like them both. They are: Orosa-Nakpil, which is very informative and Rainbow Boys which mostly suits the young readers.
Most of Neil Gaiman's work have gay characters. Most notable is Sandman, there's a lot of characters and behind-the-scenes lgbt relationships there. It's fun reading between the lines and piecing clues together to find out what happened with those relationships (check Rose's storyline for Jack's story).
Boy Meets Boy is one of the dreamy kind of book I've read and I really liked it![]()

STILL LIFE WITH JUNE - DARREN GREER
The people in gay bars on Christmas Day are so desperate for basic human contact that they'd go home with a Doc Marten shoe if it made a move, and maybe even if it didn't.
So begins the story of Cameron Dodds, a disenfranchised writer who visits gay bars on Christmas and works at a Salvation Army Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center in order to steal the stories of the people he meets there. But when Cameron finds a patient hanged in the utilities closet, his infatuation with other people's stories becomes an obsession. Assuming the man's identity, Cameron seeks out and forges a relationship with the victim's mentally challenged sister, who lives in a home uptown. As Cameron becomes more involved in the woman's life, he begins to discover truths that will challenge him to the very core of his identity.
