agree with two of the three on your list.

Bulong ng Balakyot, renamed Pangarap ng Puso was a disaster at the boxoffice. Too bad--I think it was because they changed the title from a horror story to a love story and tried to sell it as such. Also, it's too strange and imaginative to be an easy sell.

juve has a point; marami tayong mga magagaling na independent filmmakers.

Mahirap lang hanapin ang kanilang works.

But to cite a few, aside from Raymond Red (who, it should be noted, has done many, much better films than Anino), there's Tad Ermitano with his 'Susej' and 'The Retrochronological Transfer of Information' and Aureus Solito with 'Suring at Ang Kuk-ok.'

Try watching even on tape, the movie of Diether Ocampo and angelu de Leon, "Bukas Na lang Kita Mamahalin" . The film is contemporary with fantastic screenplay. recommended for age group 21-30. Crisp performances from the 2 lead stars.

I'm a big fan of Filipino movies from the LVN/Sampaguita Pictures days. One of the most unforgettable movie that I have watched was the original "Maalaala Mo Kaya" starring Rogelio Dela Rosa and Carmen Rosales (Whoosh! I'm not sure about the name of his leading lady. They're the hottest love team that time). And the movie starring Luis Gonzales, Nida Blanca, Bella Flores, and Mary Walter. I've taped this movie and you wouldn't believe how gorgeous Bella Flores was in her heyday (rrrowrrrrrr!) I never got the title though, can someone help me here? Mary's character is a conniving mother wanting to marry off her cooperative daughter (Bella) to Luis' character. Nida is the obedient and martyr leading lady who dutifully serves her love when he got deaf in a swimming accident.

Then there's [b]Rizal[b], Pusong Mamon, Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal, and the Lorna Tolentino-Aga Muhlach movie wherein he stars as a D.I. who falls in love with his married client.

    oi vei!
