what's the best DIVAS LIVE show ever???

1998: mariah carey, celine dion, gloria estefan, carole king, shania twain and aretha franklin

1999: whitney houston, tina turner, faith hill, brandy, cher, leanne rimes, elton john, chaka khan and mary j. blige.

2000: diana ross, donna summers, destinys child, the supremes, rupaul, faith hill and mariah carey

2001: aretha franklin, jill scott, mary j. blige, nelly furtado, marc anthony, kid rock and janet jackson

2002: celine dion, shakira (others TBC)

goodness, i love all of them. but i guess i enjoyed the first one the best

di ko alam may line-up na pala for 2002 nice to see shakira on it!!!

other diva's i would wanna be included in the future diva's live are barbara streisand (if shes not a diva, then good grief, i dont know who is) madonna and toni braxton.

pati na ren the diva-lettes britney spears, christina aguilera and jennifer lopez.

the first one is the best. i really enjoyed it and i even bought a DVD of the show.

i am quite disappointed with the show because they seem to label just about every female singer a DIVA... and most of the time these female singers havent proven anything yet or has not made any significant contribution to the world of music... so as not to offend fans i will not mention the names of the people who, in my opinion, do not deserve to be on that show...

to answer the question, i prefer the first divas live, although i have confirmed with international fans that my idol, mariah carey, was not at the original list of performers i still luv the show anyway. i have been told that the only reason mariah was placed there because aretha requested that mariah be included. peace

on the contrary dreamlover, i do think that each and every one in the line up these past four years definitely deserved to be there. i think that the word diva has now evolved from "someone who has the pipes to hit high notes whose been in the industry for more than ten years now", to "women who promote women impowerment through their music".

if the latter definition is followed, then even the likes of newbies nelly furtado, brandy, leanne rimes and destiny's child are very much worthy to be divas
