Latest kabulastugan ko. Hehehe. Kelang next EB (sana makapunta...hehehe)?
^ nice one! I wish i could try digital too!
wala pang sched sa EB, PEX artists are quiet these days. perhaps too busy? or nag-hibernate na yung iba.![]()
Hi guys,
I don't know if this is the right thread for my questions. But since, all of you are artists here, maybe you can help me.
I will be moving to my new house in a few months. Since my budget is a bit tight as I'd be having renovations to the unit my developer would be turning over to me, furnishings are not my priority. However, it would be good to have some modern paintings on the wall.
I am planning a DIY project for this.
Where can I buy affordable wood frame, canvass, brushes, acrylic paints for paintings similar to the pics below. Parang iyong nakikita ko sa mga home renovation shows like Trading Spaces, While You Were Out, Take Home Handyman, etc. Each painting can stand on its own, but when arranged together, forms one big painting.
TIA!
Cheers,
Neo
^ nice project. i hope you can post the pictures here once you're done with your project!
anyway, you can buy art supplies at deovir. they have branches in sm manila, north edsa, recto, and quezon boulevard.
check their website and FB:
http://www.deovirarts.com/
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Deovir...es/89166168251
their items are a little cheaper compared to those found in Nat'l bookstores.
also, if you want paintings for your house, consider buying artworks from young artists. hindi mahal, pero maganda, at pwedeng tumaas ang value in the future.
good luck!![]()
Many thanks, EBAonyourwall! Will definitely check out that store you suggested.
I think I would like that canvass with primer na. Para mas madali.
Actually, I like your suggestion to buy artworks from young artists. Problem is, I don't know anyone.
What I like is not as grand as the pix I posted for it would be costlier, especially with the use of more paints. I just like the similar idea of individual paintings that could be a 1 whole set.
I am planning to put a set in the master's bedroom, living room, and the wall on the staircase (instead of an accent wall there).
The other project I would want to have is similar to this.
One wall of my living room which could be an accent wall, but I am opting to put cabinet/bookcase, 6 feet wide, 8 feet high, 1 foot deep. It would have 8 rows and 4 columns, so it would have 32 squares. The upper 10 squares (2 squares on each row) would have sliding doors. On each door, I would hang a removable painting. The 10 paintings when arranged as one, would form a big painting. But when they are arranged not side by side or not top of each other, or by set, they could be individual paintings or individual set.
Replacing the paintings and/or rearranging the setup, could vary the personality of that corner cabinet/bookcase.
if magpapagawa ka ng ganyang bookcase sa karpintero, pwede sigurong magpagawa ka na rin ng canvas frames. baka makamura ka. problema lang, you have to stretch and prime your own canvas. or you can also paint directly on wood, but that needs a good primer.
i suggest you visit galleries and check out the works personally. you'll find some works of young artists here:

Master galing talaga. Naku mukhang hindi na tayo active. Busy ata mga tao. T_T
Cool work. A person's face tells so much about a person.
Hi,
Thanks.
To all my comrades, guys please post your new artworks para ma-inspire naman tayo.
I'm missing the smell of my oil pastels. Super-busy mode.![]()
