Thanks po. Late na nga po gawa ng we are poor then graduating nun yung kapatid ko.

The first step is to have your hyperthyroidism controlled. This will prevent further damage or complications from the disease. You'll need anti-thyroid drugs but if your hyperthyroidism is already long-standing you'll eventually need to undergo definitive therapy for your condition e.g. radioactive iodine therapy or surgery. Most patients undergoing definitive therapy become hypothyroid (the reverse of hyperthyroid) but it's far safer and easier to treat hypothyroidism compared to hyperthyroidism.

Regarding thyrotoxic heart disease (TTHD) it's not important to know the mechanisms because they're complex. What's more important is that it's a treatable condition. Although advanced cases are likely not reversible TTHD does respond to medications for heart failure, particularly diuretics. An x-ray is a very poor tool for diagnosing TTHD because you can have heart failure with a normal-sized heart on chest x-ray. Like I said before, you need a 2D echo to actually determine the status of your heart.

Ano po ba yung symptoms ng TTHD? Yun po ba yung you can almost feel your heartbeat around your body tapos may electric like impulses sa kamay at paa mo? Thanks for the light shed. At least i have a clue on what's really happening on me. Panu nga po pala treatment nyan? Kailangan pa ba ng operation? THANKS again doc.

hi po ask ko lang po meron kasi akong solid nodules and i'm taking Eltroxin (50mg) nararamdaman ko rin po *** mga symptoms na sinasabi nila like *** hinihingal na parang lagi kang nauubusan ng hininga. sabi nmn po ng endo ko wala cyang kinalaman dun dahil hndi naman daw po ako hyperthyroidism. yung last na check ko naman po sa hear that was 4 years ago ok naman *** heart ko. nagstart kasi ako makaramdam ng hinal mag 7 years ago nung buntis ako sa panganay ko.ano po kayang posibleng reason nito? sabi nung endo ko baka daw anxiety daw... and by the way pwede ko rin po ba sabayan *** Eltroxin ng Myra E 400 IU + Gingko Biloba (50mg) + stresstab + enervon C?

TTHD can present with symptoms of heart failure like easy fatigability, difficulty of breathing on exertion, orthopnea (sensation of drowning or difficult of breathing when lying flat, relieved by using one or more pillows to elevate the head).

Note that the symptoms you mentioned before can just be due to hyperthyroidism and NOT necessarily due to TTHD. For example, the increased awareness of your heartbeat can just be due hyperthyroidism causing your heart to contract more vigorously. That's why controlling your hyperthyroidism is the first step in managing your condition.

If you're not hyperthyroid (as proven by a normal FT4 and TSH) then you should not be looking at hyperthyroidsm as a source of your "hingal." There are many other reasons for experiencing dyspnea ("hingal" or difficulty of breathing) ranging from anxiety to diseases like ischemic heart disease or even postpartum cardiomyopathy. If you are really bothered by your dyspnea then tell your doctor so that work-up can be done.

I know people who were cured of Hyperthyroidism. LEGIT and WORKING products. Email me for details-- ingathering.online@gmail.com

  9. #229
Really? I wonder what those products are. In this day and age people are selling all sorts of products that are purported to "cure" many things. None of them really stand up to careful scrutiny when evaluated in terms of acceptable evidence.

  10. #230
Yes I am pretty aware of that. And I myself am very skeptic about products nowadays. What struck me about this product is that it really does work for me. I gave some to my Mom who has her normal BP as 150/100. After taking the product, her BP came consistent 120/80.

And of course my friend who had Hyperthyroidism was cured also.

I don't blame anyone for not believing me, but I guess I just wanted to share this and see who is interested. At least I get to help them also.

  11. #231
Also. I was shocked that the products I am talking about is stated inside the handbooks of physicians. (PPD, Physicians Desk Reference, MIMS). That is why I got interested in it

  12. #232
Yes, and I noticed that you also posted in other threads (talking about other diseases) and claimed that your product can also cure them. That's pretty much a panacea right?

Incidentally, anecdotal evidence is the worst form of evidence. Anyone can cook up stories about getting cured with whatnot. The evidence I'm looking for are things like trials published in recognized medical journals.

  13. #233
Oh yes. I have posts on other threads. and Yes I can clearly testify that it can cure those illnesses too because the product I am talking has anti oxidants in 'em. The reason we all have these diseases is that our body is imbalanced. What I am pointing out is that, it cures these illnesses by pumping up our immune system and actually boosting our bodies self-healing.

But then I would agree that you can't agree with me while you haven't seen any evidence such as "trials published in recognized medical journals". I could only say that this product was manufactured from Saltlake, Utah, and that it was invented by a Doctor, specifically a Microbiologist-- Dr. Myron Wentz.

Hello again, this what's happening to me so far. Last year, i was experincing left chest pains for some time. February, i was late diagnosed as hyperthyroid and put on methimazole 10 mg. 3x a day, propanolol 10 mg. once a day. I had tinnitus after almost a month, worse when yawning and can hear something when swallowing. My main problem is, i have a pounding heart. Not quite sure if it's constant. The constant 24/7 thing is this bounding pulse. Like vibrating sensation specially on neck, back of the head and temples. My neck and palm pulses are quite visible and lately i noticed my right temple nerve is visibly pulsating too. I can feel electric like sensation on my hands more on feet especially when i crouch on the floor. Le ft chest pains are present sometimes but this week it is not bad but the main thing is the pulsating gets worse. I was also experiencing heaviness in nape area and shoulder as if theres something wrapped on it and it brings discomfort. When i lie down, it's like vibrating and when i put my hand on my forehead, i can feel and see it moving synchronize with my pulse. I checked my thyroid last week. The leves are on the range but still on the upper. I had ecg test, result is normal. Is this normal for hyperthyroid? 24/7 bounding pulse as if my body is vibrating. I hope you can give me some enlightenment on what's happening to me. I really wanted my normal life back. I don't think this pulsating feeling and electric like feeling especially in feet is caused by hyperthyroid. Thanks again and godbless.

  15. #235
I suggest you have a 2D echo done because prominent or bounding pulses can be a sign of a cardiac problem. It isn't very expensive and will answer the question if your hyperthyroidism has already affected your heart.

here's my latest lab test result as of today:

my previous lab test on: 19 May 2012

    Assay Flag Result Reference Range
    ----- ----- -------- ---------------
    TSH HI 30 mIU/1 0.320 - 5.00
    FreeT4 LO 8.86pmol/1 9.22 - 23.80

as of 26 June 2012 lab test update:

    Assay Result Reference Range
    ----- -------- ---------------
    TSH 24.8 mIU/1 0.320 - 5.00
    FreeT4 10.6pmol/1 9.22 - 23.80

my internist doctor's advice, to take low dosage of neomercazole (carbimazole). once a day (5mg).

Your latest FT4 is okay since it's within the normal range.

Doc,,, i was about to PM you but i think your inbox was full...

anyway, i have taken 15mg as per your advice during the month of May - June 2012 prior to my lab test.

as per my internist here, he knows that he give me the dosage of 10mg only that i did not follow. and now he's telling me to take 5mg only. As per the lab test result... should i decrease the dosage from 15mg to 5mg or from 15mg to 10mg? he also told me that he's worried about my TSH level as it is very close to Hypothyroid.

maybe i will take another lab test on the first week of August 2012.

    thanks for any advice.

  19. #239
Personally, I'd just decrease the dose to 10 mg, but this is just my opinion. As far as I see it, decreasing the dose to 5 mg will likely cause the FT4 to shoot back up to the hyperthyroid range.
