@Mell, nakakatuwa naman, after 10 years you still reply to posts here. =) Let me start by saying thanks for sharing!

Tinigil namin years back, kasi sinara namin ang tindahan namin.

Bakit at pano ngyari?
Estimation? 500k, 1M, 1.5M?
    - Aside sa territorial dispute @jtansanco (which is very valid), ano pa ang pwedeng maging challenge sa ganitong klase ng negosyo?

Madali mag-palago kung disiplinado ka. One, never compromise yung quality ng tanke mo at yung lamant tama...

Pwede ka naman magsimula sa maliit, as little as 25K....

Challenges, sobrang dami..... theft, competition from small and big players.... compliance with regulations..... Great way to learn this business is to start small and just do it! =)

Lightbulb ideas to put up LPG retail biz

    Hi Mell,

    maraming salamat,

    marlon

Hi po, just bump into this thread. Am planning to put-up an LPG refilling business, ask lang sana kung magkano kaya ang initial capital na kailangan for this?

  6. #86
    hi rev4maite,

When we put up ours back in 1994, our capital was approximately 35 million pesos... This included the land, bullet, hauling trucks, delivery trucks, thousands of our own cylinders, inventory, operation capital etc... Back in 2000, we bought a refilling plant for 17 M, just for the plant... As you can see it is not cheap! =)

Wow! I didn't know there's a thread about LPG here! Its a business my dad started but he's gone so im the one handling....
I read the earlier posts and I would have to agree that this industry has changed a lot since then...
Price is sooo high now. And yeah, i couldnt agree more about the underfillers and about the tampering of tare weight... O well...
Hi Mell, where is your refilling plant? Pleased to meet u here.

    1. since may sarili syang brand. paano ko retail yung mga brands like Mgas, solane etc?

thanks mell hope to hear from you soon

    1) si Mgas, ang may ari ng brand na iyan ay si Island gas, you have to get your gas from them, while Solane, you have to get your gas from a Solane dealer... Na-approve na kasi yun circular so we expect things to get stricter going forward. In short never refill your solane and m gas at your friends refilling plant, kung hindi you run the risk of confiscation of your cylinders by dti....

    2) Ok na ok ang business na ito, just sell to your friends and family will be good returns for luho... One of our customers, she owns a gasoline station and she sells lpg on the side to pay for her broad band internet and monthly shopping allowance. She only owns like 6 cylinders... di pa sya nag dedeliver, pick up lahat and she manages to sell 55 yo 60 cylinders a month....

    Hope these answers help! =)

brand new cylinder costs 1500, requalified cylinder costs 900. as of today, 57.50 per kilo is our price if we deliver. our pick up price is cheaper, i forget by how much.

  15. #95
Our refilling plants are in tarlac and pangasinan. Our fleet coverage are in the following provinces: tarlac, pangasinan, baguio, nueva ecija, pangpanga, la union.... so if you are in any of these provinces, we can deliver.

sir by this means, u sell your cylinders? if so, ok lang din ba magparefill senyo? or u just cater North Luzon?

  18. #97
yes we sell cylinders and we refill as well. if you are outside our coverage area, it would not make sense for you to get your lpg from us. again our coverage area are the ff: pampanga, tarlac, nueva ecija, pangasinan, la union and baguio.
