MJ revolutionized the game of Basketball

Before it was a team game, after him the pa-star ballhog style of ball became a trend. Soon after two other ballhogs named Kobe and Lebron joined and became popular with this trend. The team concept that the 60's celtics was quickly forgotten, same with the tough defense era of the 80's (Larry/ Magic/ Bad Boys).

MJ had the ultimate weapon beside him, NBA Commissioner David Stern. Stern needed the hype after the decline of the NBA due to the impending retirement of icons such as Bird and Magic. The duo's partnership is like magic. Stern provided the script while Jordan rolled in the red carpet provided.

Stern, coupled with a ridiculously weak decade helped Jordan with an easy path. One star teams such as Drexler's Blazers or PG-Bigman duos (Barkley-KJ, Kemp-GP, Stockton-Malone) complimented with role players were far too lacking. The league's rising stars were too young Grant Hill and Penny are in their infancy and never realized their full potential. Shaq hasn't matured yet.

To conclude, people shouldn't compare Curry to Jordan, Curry needs to be himself and assert his own legacy. The idea of an Air apparent needs to stop. It already destroyed a lot of careers (Miner, Hill, Carter etc) Jordantards are now scared the NBA wins record can be broken by the Warriors. If they do, Jordan will be left with his other NBA record (worst winning percentage in a season by the 7-59 bobcats). As for the lasting impact, it remains to be seen. Maybe the next generation of kids will know to pass a little more, the next generation of yayas and drivers will not have to sleep in the streets of bgc to await the next Gamma/ Bred/ Spacejam that will be released, the next generation of resellers can think of a legit business to start, maybe the mj-kb-lbj memes will stop, maybe the next generation of ballers can finally realize that it's about hardwork and not swag.

Title is wrong. He can't be the next Michael Jordan. You can't really compare the 2 of them (unlike Jordan-Kobe-Lebron).

Can he be the best NBA player? There is a possibility. However, masyado pang malayo yun.

3 pt records - I think he'll be the best 3 point shooter of all time
Best player in the best NBA team - beat Bulls' previous record
1 ring - on track to get another this season
2 MVPs - though may LBJ, Kawhi, Westbrook, Durant, Davis, Wiggins, etc pa na pwedeng kumuha ng MVP titles in the future

    To do list ni Curry
win 5 more championship (better kung perfect record)
    win 2-3 MVP
    iwas major injury

Decline? It was during Bird and Magicís time that the NBA took off, only Jordan sustained them to greater heights, subsequently. The hype began even before Jordan set afoot the NBA floor. And that was during the duoís heydays; not during their impending retirement.

Weak? It was because Jordan beat them all and made them all look weak. No need for excuses that the competition mainly consisted of one-star teams, PG-bigman duos+role players, raw rising stars, etc. Jordan and Pippen with marginal role players similar to other teams beat them all and that was all about it.

Agree. But thatís how it is for years because Jordan set the standard. If Jordan was just Sternís recipient of hype, you think there would be a comparison in the first place? Maybe people will discuss not about the GOAT, but who is the MHPOAT (most-hyped-player-of-all-time).

Scared? Not at all. We are happy to witness Curry lead the Warriors to 73-9, topping our Jordanís 72-10. The guy deserves it. Jordan will be left with his other NBA record 7-59 Bobcats? Oh, my.

Stephen Curry is the next Michael Jordan in terms of the entertainment he brings even to a non-basketball fan. He is a joy to watch and I hope to witness NBA records shattered by him, one after another.

For years, people watch some superstars to lose. It is a welcome development that recently, some are mesmerized by Steph's game that they watch him to win.

Manalo muna siya ng Finals MVP Bago ninyo ikumpara kay Jordan? 2 1/2 years lang nama super elite yung laro niya sa NBA. Ito Maxbuwaya masyado asar kay LeBron. 4x NBA MVP, and soon to be 3x Finals MVP na yung tao. Jordantard ka kasi. Manuod ka ng Finals na healthy na ang Cavs. Pumusta ka sa kalaban para matalo ka.
