Are you referring to Ritualo? I thought he was a Mapua Red Robin.

The Cubs also produced Benjie Paras, Gerry Esplana, Ronnie Magsanoc, Dindo Pumaren, Jolly Escobar and many others

san beda rules! how do they produce such athletes? is it in their training?

I think a lot of the credit for San Beda HS success is Ato Badolato. He knows how to find talent in the grade school level and is able to convince players to enroll in his program.

Tyrone Bautista and Toti Almeda are also Red Cubs. Mesina and Ritualo were co-MVP's when they won the HS championship. Membrere was last year's MVP and Almeda's teammate. I think Mesina was even recruited while he was already in HS at San Agustin.

So Kudos to coach Badolato for finding the young talent and putting together the best high school program in the country.

when i was still studying at SBC, our juniors team were always in the finals. i remember, during the time when ritualo and mesina were playing for SBC, they trashed Mapuua in the finals, making them co-mVPs.

yes, of course let's not forget toti almeda, mark jomalesa & macoy marcos of up. also the cagalingan twins & jud penson who're also in up! vin velasco, carlo weber, francis cruz & of course, jacques gottenbos & jeff bombeo of sbc. and basti lon, who's w/ the ateneo training team & management staff. and to the possible next crop of bedans for the uaap or the ncaa..la tenorio !

i think it was jeff bombeo & magnum membrere who carried SBC juniors team during that year. jeff's still studying in san beda, magnum, as we all know, is in ateneo.

sayang, jeff's a good player. he should have gone to DLSU.

Don't forget that very impressive pt. guard of UE...Adrian Ronquillo, who played H.S. ball at SBC. And beanpole Gerry Roxas who was with DLSU and now with Mapua. Of course, there's Jahann Delgado of CSB. These Red Cubs are EVERYWHERE, aren't they?

Miko Roldan is one of the starters of FEU. He's really good ha, just like the rest of his batchmates from Beda

Coach Ato Badolato definitely should get credit for developing so many players in his Red Cubs stable. From Gerry Esplana, Dindo Pumaren, Benjie Paras, Ronnie Magsanoc, Eric Altamirano, Christian Calaguio, Mico Roldan, Jenkins Mesina, Renren Ritualo, Xavier Nunag, Abelardo Marcos, Mark Jomalesa, Michael Bravo, Toti Almeda, Magnum Membrere, Arjun Cordero and a lot more... to its current point guard Lewis Alfred Tenorio who's already being recruited by at least 3 coaches in the UAAP. Bobby Parks even has plans of enrolling his son in San Beda.
