    good trade

sana mag-click kaagad. OKC just dumped their bench PG for TGibson and DMDermott. they now have the better shooters.

eventhough Taj is a free agent next year, the Thunders saw his professionalism by playing consistent knowing his contract is up for renewal.

and they got to dump soon to be slacking free agent AMorrow. now, the burden of keep this player happy goes to the CBulls.

looks like the next move is to trade EKanter.

RWestbrook triple double record is good enough for the MVP.

May chance ba na manalo siya if yung Thunder nasa 6th seed lang?

averaging a triple double is a very rare feat, even some nba players are endorsing westbrook for mvp. Though history is not on his side being on a 6th seeded team.

Congrats to Thunder fans. Westbrook is the 2017 MVP and they got Paul George next season. But only for one year. In 2018 he wants to be a Laker.

Will this tandem work? George needs the ball to be effective. Westbrook and Durant didn't win anything before. Can't see these 2 winning anything too.

    latest lineup:

    RWestbrook/RPrice
    DMcDermott/SChriston
    JGrant/KSingler/JHuestis
    PGeorge/TFerguson
    SAdams/EKanter/AAbrines

they are over the salary cap and nearly at the luxury tax limit with just 12 players.

now, GMSPresti is after RGay for extra firepower. expect more trades like EKanter, KSingler and DMcDermott for more cheaper players, re-sign TGibson, recruit free agent RGuy. If they would get Gibson, George will play 3.

next season it will be a money problem for OKC. if they want to hold on to PGeorge, RWestbrook and EKanter must opt out other and re-sign for a lower salary.

besides keeping George they can go on a hiring spree in 2018. the current cap is about 110M. take out the salary of ARoberson that will be 107M. this is above the salary cap.

it will work. PG is a quiet team player. KD was a whiner and bullied his teammates like EKanter, RWilliams, and KMartin. the assist rate of RW has increased and half of his passes were not credited as assist because his teammates failed to score or took an extra dribble. it was right to get rid of DSabonis who has a poor PGA.

the problem is their playbook. they should do the pick and roll with a forward instead of a center. PGeorge is a better roller than SAdams because he knows how to create his shot or pass the ball. Adams will just take it hard or do a skyhook.

JUST IN: Melo headed to OKC

Sources: Thunder agree to deal to add Carmelo Anthony

The New York Knicks have agreed to trade Carmelo Anthony to the Oklahoma City Thunder, league sources told ESPN.

Oklahoma City will send Enes Kanter, Doug McDermott and a second-round 2018 draft pick to the Knicks, sources said.

Anthony has a no-trade clause which he needs to waive for a deal to go through. Sources tell ESPN that Anthony will sign a letter of authorization granting permission to be traded to Oklahoma City and that letter will be part of the trade call on Monday.

Anthony had been encouraging the Knicks to show urgency in their pursuit of a trade before the season, league sources said. Anthony originally had targeted the Houston Rockets as a potential destination, but after the Knicks were unable to come to a deal with the Rockets, Anthony expanded his list to include the Cavaliers and Thunder.

The Thunder open the season at the Knicks on Oct. 19.

Anthony, a 10-time All-Star, has two years and $54 million left on his contract. The second year is a player option worth almost $28 million.

It's been a big offseason for the Thunder, who also traded for four-time All-Star Paul George over the summer, less than a week after Russell Westbrook won his first league MVP award. Westbrook has a five-year, $207 million extension offer on the table from the Thunder, with a deadline of Oct. 16 to sign.

Na-Isaiah Thomas din pala si Enes Kanter.

May pa "stick together at family" comment ka pang nalalaman para sa OKC - uhm! loko! Tinirade ka ng "family" mo.
    Move on kd haters.

    Irony.

    ^ pre,

expected na iyan. read my post above. i was expecting KSingler to be part of the package instead of the 2018 first draft pick. but, i was not expecting a trade for CAnthony.

this is a bad trade. beside absorbing the 24.5M contract, they need to look for a very very cheap player to fill in the roster. this will be a spacing problem. PG and Melo are PF. plus, the OKCThunder now have 2 players with expiring contracts in PGeorge and CAnthony. if OKC will lose George and Anthony to the FA, next season will be bleak because they already gave away their draft pick for a chance to rebuild for fresh players.

what will happen to the RWestbrick 207M extension?

well, at least the Thunder will have a very big cap space next season for the free agency purge.

as for EKanter, he hated bully KD from day one. that is the only reason he stood up for the franchise. if im correct, he is prepared for this trade. remember, he was a 20/20 guy without KD.

now, the big question is how will the Melo system wreak the Westbrick system. everybody knows Anthony is not a good teammate and he loves to blame others including the coach and management. he might end up blaming RW#0, run out the coach, and ***** the GM into insanity. he will make this a slower team because he takes a longer time to take a shot and usually it is a dud. the OKCThunder have two bric throwers in town. he also hates going inside for the tough rebounds. OKC is at its best playing open court.

bottomline, the NYKnicks got the better deal.

My point was it's always hilarious to see players who "defend" and show love for their team and then come the following days, they get traded.

OKC was a joke for the Warriors last season.

Nevertheless, the butthurt fanboys will always hold this team and WB as their "flagship" and symbol for their hate to KD. Kahit manalo lang ng isa ang OKC kay KD, I'm sure sonrang saya na ng mga KD haters.

Papayag ba yung dalawa na bigyan ng triple double si mr.pogi para sa kanyang individual stats?

Sayang at iisa lang ang bola for this team.

  18. #378
^ last season, every time there is an OKC/GSW game, the Thunder would bench EKanter for the entire game.

the OKCThunder franchise still cares for KD even though he left and constantly biatches them. and, they know Kanter would go all out on him on court. they are just protecting cupcake from getting smashed.

dont worry, KD will get his just lickings in the upcoming NYKnicks games.

so you still remember scenes where KD was camping at the left corner and begging, clapping, and waving his hands so they would give him the ball. there was no ball rotation in OKC during the Beard/KD/WestBrick era. this also happens a lot with RJackson.

RW#0 did not get his triple double title, just by scoring. if you would examine his game, he dished out atleast 25 passes. more than half of those were not credited as an assist because of the following factors:
    the scorer missed;
    the scorer took an extra dribble;
    the scorer fumbled; and
    the scorer committed a turnover

the problem with OKC is consistency. they tend to be the catch up team or they could not hit their clutch shots. OKC is a Brick city because of WestBrick and his teammates. he is no clutch but he is a good passer. PGeorge is a good receiver, shooter, dribbler, and passer. he can create. now, Melo is a problem because he needs to own the ball in order to score.
