Umm... what's the tournament type B?

see my other post, what are your top 10 magic cards of all time. the restrictions are posted there.

It's like this... each one brings one booster pack of the same expansion... each player opens the pack and adds one basic land of each type and voila! you have a 20-card deck!

how does one win with a 20 card deck?, the one who goes first will surely lose.

i am free also during saturdays and sundays.

looks like sealed deck is the way to go.
i propose.

1. each player constructs a minimum 40 card deck consists of the following.
2. each player brings 4 basic lands ONLY of each type.
3. each player brings 5 booster packs of DIFFERENT EXPANSIONS

what expansions do you recommend guys?
that brings the total cost to

5 (booster packs) at say 150 (each) = 750? pretty steep.
+4 basic lands of each type.
or
4 (booster packs) at say 150 (each) = 600
+4 basic lands of each type
or
1 (starter deck previously agreed upon) 400
+ 2 (booster packs at 150) = 700

what do you recommend guys?
and what will the winner get?

the game may be played this way.
i recommend this.

1. divide all the players into 2 groups.
all games are race to 2 best of 3 games in pre-quarters and quarters
2. finals are race to 3 best of 5
3. all players of one group play with all other players of his group.
top 2 finishers of each group go to quarters.
4. only 4 players remain in quarters. all quarter players play with each other. top 2 play in finals.
5. finals.

*** tungkol pala sa juzam djinn...mula umpisa talaga hindi ako naimpress. lalo na nung ginamitan ako noong grade school ng kaklase ko, ewan ko kung tunay...panay unsummon o undoing lang ako...finally nainis ako ni-lapse ko tapos ray of erasure.

parang black_lotus, hindi naman ako naimpress talaga. parang masaya ka lang kung first turn mo nakuha un.

it's a deck mainly comprised of weenies & lotsa quezo.

there's a card in the mirage block (i think ) that does this, but it's 3 to cast. just cant recall the name. anyway, there's also a card in the mercadian masques block that removes sorceries & instant spells from the game & it's 4 to cast... and i also forgot its name

speaking of counterspells, other cards that i recommend using would be: dismiss. casting cost: 2UU. counter target spell. draw a card & forbid. casting cost: 1UU. counter target spell. buyback: discard 2 cards.

it's a blue creature w/ an ability quite similar to tempest's tradewind rider. it allows u to return permanents. really cool

dissipate (b1) interrupt. counter target spell, remove that spell from the game

nga pala, whats time_elemental ?

time elemental (B2) 0/2, if time elemental attacks or blocks, it deals 5 damage to the controller.

B2T: return target permanent to owners' hand, if permanent has any enchantments on them, you cannot target that permanent.
(you must then return target the enchantment first)

all FE creatures suck except for orders of the ebon hand and its white counterpart order of leitbur, mindstab thrull, derelor, orgg, rivermerfolk, seasinger, vodalian knightsand
the avatars which feature cool arts--ebon praetor, and hand of justice.

i noticed something weird about our magic cards. maybe you guys could help me out.

as we all know, the title/name of a card is located at the top left portion (of the said card). if u would notice, its name is written starting in CAPS (capitalized). like Abeyance, Balduvian horde, Congregate, etc, etc. the funny thing is, all magic card names start in CAPS... except for the letter h (harrow, hanna, hurricane). wazzup? why is that so?






i also noticed something amusing about this card. check out the image & the expansion symbol. noticed anything *familiar*.

The criteria for choosing a magic the gathering symbol:
according to Brand Manager Tina Trenkel WOTC R&D cast.

1) it must be tied thematically to the expansion set name.
2) it must be immediately obvious to 95 percent of the people what the symbol is when viewed at the size it will appear on the card.
3) the symbol must be an object, rather than text based.
4) the symbol must be clearly distinguishable from all symbols used for magic over the prior years.
5) the symbol must be attractive when enlarged to three feet by three feet.
6) the symbol should be logical and inoffensive internationally.

i think stack refers to the "STACK" when you cast instants or sorceries...

so for example you cast a bolt, then someone casts an incinerate, then someone counters, etc. etc.

then your stack would consist of the bolt, incinerate, counter, et. etc., then you will have to resolve that using LIFO

nga pala...found this really neat card sa box ko kanina,
rancor, G, target creature gains +2/+0, trample. when rancor is put into the graveyard from play, return it to owner's hand (as if di nyo alam rancor)

the reason black knight wasn't included is because it was an uncommon

if you are going to add 4 of it i suggest removing the askari if you are playing with unholy strength

i suggest removing erg raiders if you are playing with bad moon

rancor is an extremely good card for stompy decks
