Err.

Transferee here.. Actually nagke-credit ang UP ng courses taken outside UP pero dahil sa sobrang iba ng subjects sa UP compared to other schools, mahihirapan kang ipa-credit ang mga subjects mo unless super general nyan e.g. College Algebra, General Psychology, Trigonometry, yan lang usually ang meron sa UP na meron din other schools. Other universities have Studies and Thinking Skills in English na subject, may Filipino version pa yan. Sa UP kasi my RGEP, especialized yung mga subjects kaya ibang ibang talaga from other schools. May validation exam na tinatawag. During summer, aaply ka para mag take ng exam related sa subject na gusto mong ipa-credit (usually kasabay mong magte-take ang mga nagreremoval exams) then kapag naipasa mo congratz, credited na sya, but if not, di na sya ike-credit. Take ka na ule sa UP. I think yung NSTP/ROTC walang ng ganun, ike-credit na ata agad. I chose not to ask for creditation kasi gusto kong pure maroon blood transcript ko. oha!! hahaha!! keri lang madelay nu! sino bang nagmamadali.. i'll make the most out of my UP life! hehe.

Hehe. Hindi lang ako magaling. Pero kayang kaya naman. Pinasa ko naman ang Math11. Pero ayos na ang research sakin. Hindi lang talaga ko ganun kasipag. Hehe.

Yes. Baka nga magCAL nalang ako. Salamat.

Seriously, research experience is one of the things that shapes a student into becoming a better person especially if you have a very demanding adviser. To say that you aren't especially analytical thus the weak math and science skills might be considered as acknowledging one's strengths and weaknesses, but to announce that you're too lazy to do research is just plain said.

Seize the opportunity of being able to do research.

excited to be in UP on April

hey guys, I'm from DLSU-m. But when I got there in the Office of the Registrar, the lady said that they won't include PE subjects, NSTP/ROTC's, and religion. what the F, edi tinanggal nila. minus 7 units, naging 31 units nalang yung pwedeng i evalu8 ng UP. I was really disappointed.

Pero I asked the lady kung pwedeng i evaluate na nila yung 31 units ko. I was shocked na 1.86 yung equivalent average ko sa UP. Now, i still enrolled in DLSU with minimum terms na lang and really doing my best to just maintain o pataasin pa. pero sayang talaga, if only I had reached 33 units, eh di sana vacation ko na from january to may. hahaha!

Go to UP Diliman's College of Arts and Letters. UPLB's too scientific- and mathematics-oriented... I believe you can't survive there.

^Youch. Good thing I saw that kasi, may tanong uli ako.

I'm transferring from another college, and
Tsk.

But, Values isn't religion, i took it up, and it wasn't biased and all. We had to learn ethics and etiquette..etc, but no relige. So how does this figure?

Also, *** 3rd trime subjects (or just the 3rd trime in general) po ba na required to finish a year sa school ko eh kasama sa GPA evaluation??

    Salamat!

Di naman talaga nacre-credit kasi sa UP ang PE subjects and NSTP. Kahit sa mga regular student. Wala siyang bearing sa GPA mo.

Good luck on your application! Pagbutihin mo pagaaral mo.

Transfer from other Universities and Colleges
A student with previous college work wishing to transfer to the University must satisfy University rules indicated below on admission of transfer students. There is no entrance test administered for transfer applicants. A transfer applicant may be admitted provided that:

    -he can present at least 33 academic units with a general weighted average of 2.0 or better for all the collegiate academic units he has taken outside the University;
-he will have to complete in the University not less than 50 percent of the units required for his program; and
-the quota set by the Dean of the college concerned has not been filled up.

values? uhm, ganito nalang, hingi ka ng course description sa school mo ngayon tapos present it to the UP admissions kung considered sya as academic course nila or religion **** yun. ganun kasi ginawa ko eh kaso ayun, religion pala talaga yun

basta all the subjects na kinuha mo from your school na considered as academic sa UP eh ieevaluate nila at ttngnan ang GPA mo. so ayun, GOODLUCK satin.

  12. #272
Transferee from lasalle ako. By 2.0, that means 3.0 ang gpa mo sa lasalle. Hehe. Good luck.

  17. #277
as of now, the minimum grade requirement is 2.0 so if you really want to transfer..stay ka muna jan ng at least one sem para mapataas mo ang GWA mo..then may chance ka na makalipat..maybe you should call up the office nalang para makapag-inquire ka..or if you want..go straight to the university registrar or office of college secretary ng college kung saan under ang gusto mong course..para ma-advise ka nila sa mga possible options mo..

English Studies Does this have like, a talent test na on-the-spot?

    Journalism - ^Likewise?

Anthropology - comprehensive Knowledge about culture?

Lib Sci - What's so scientific about Libraries???????

Fine Arts - Do I need to be a really kick-*** artist to pass? Or pede na kahit mejo amateurish ang gawa?

History - extensive knowledge about history?

Need ur help immediately.....lapit na applications...

Anyway, pede bang maramihan ang application sa any college within Diliman? Or may limit?

There's no College of Education in UPLB.... but I know there are education classes there, normally taken by students of BS Stat (for those specialized in Education), BS Development Communication and BS Economics.

It is near ACCI and the college of Economics and Management. I'm not sure if that is under the College of Public Affairs (CPA)
