Wow, I'm impressed. I thought DLSU was the best in Computer Science and Engineering. How come "AB-only" Ateneo is beating La Salle's best and brightest in Computer Science? Just imagine, had Ateneo fielded three teams instead of only one in this competition, they could have won the top three positions. I guess no one can deny the academic superiority of the Ateneans. It's in their genes.

As far as La Salle is concerned, they are at least good in basketball. That I have to admit. But that's also because they have plenty of time to play and practice since their academic standards are not that demanding.

Its true, primarily computers are for school work kaya lang, in times when the terminals are free, students are free to use it in whatever way they want...including for PEx. I don't see anything wrong with this kasi if its going to be used for school business, then these issues take precedence over trivial things like PEx. In other words, pag may class, class work ang gagawin.

Actually, there's more evidence, like - Which school won the BATTLE OF THE BRAINS 2000 that was held in DLSU? Sometimes, we do get carried away with our own arguments and I admit I am also guilty (once in a while lang ha, baga naman sabihin mo na all the time). I'm glad to know you are one of the few perceptive ones who can differentiate the facts from the hype.

Anyway, back to the topic.

I don't think the rivalry between La Salle and Ateneo will ever end. It has become part of tradition, and it is not exclusive to the Philippines. Even in the USA, there's the Yale vs. Harvard rivalry. In the UK, there's Oxford vs. Cambridge.

The DLSU vs. Ateneo rivalry extends beyond the academe. It exists in local neighborhoods, within families, relatives, etc. I, myself, have a younger brother who is a Lasallite, and we taunt each other constantly. [Of course, I can also beat him up since I'm bigger. j/k] Our neighbors are also mostly from both schools. I think part of the rivalry is due to the fact that Lasallians and Ateneans are very similar. They come from the same socio-economic backgrounds. And sometimes, we can't help but hate our own image and reflection, and for as long as we keep it sane and healthy, there shouldn't be a problem. As mentioned in a different post, Ateneans and Lasallites are actually cast from the same mold. That's why the rivalry exists.

Peace to lasallite. Truce to the others. Nakakapagod na mag-argue. Let's just have an EB one of these nights, okay? Make love na lang, not war. And yes we are only speaking of basic addition and subtraction here."

After all he has more than 3-Billion pesos to count while you still have to figure out how to count beyond 10. It's also part of history that we kicked him out in his freshman year in High School.

Talk about modesty especially from a la sallian brother. Do they have any vow of poverty? Even Gloria's numerous presidential security use 4WD Land Cruisers which at P 3 million each is far more expensive than the P 1.7 million Expedition and the even less expensive P 700,000.00 Revo AUVs. How about Gloria's Mercedes?
