DISCIPLINE OF PLAYERS/OFFICALS
Each UAAP Member University shall be responsible for the conduct of its players, team officials/staff and, for disciplining them.
1a. An athlete who is thrown out of or ejected from the game by a referee or umpire shall not be allowed to play in the succeeding game based on the schedule followed at the time of the incident. This is without prejudice to the right of the Board to impose such and other sanctions as it may determine alter due deliberation.
1b. It shall be the responsibility of the concerned Tournament Commissioner to impose such sanction and see to it that such an incident is duly recorded and signed by the official concerned. A Board member of the UAAP Member University involved shall be notified of such fact within forty-eight (48) hours.
2a. It shall be the responsibility of the Tournament Commissioner to impose disciplinary measures on any athlete who demonstrates highly unsportsmanlike conduct and/or deliberately employs dangerous or dirty tactics or fouls in the course of any game or sporting event.
2b. Notwithstanding the action taken by the referees, the Commissioner and/or Coordinator or other game officials during the game, the Board reserves the right to impose sanctions/penalties on an athlete who, upon the eyewitness testimony of two (2) or more Board Members, showed highly unsportsmanlike conduct and/or deliberately employed dangerous or dirty tactics or fouls. The fixed set of reprimands for unsportsmanlike conduct is as follows:
- 1st offense – written reprimand
- 2nd offense – one (1) game suspension
- 3rd offense – two (2) games suspension
- 4th offense – suspension for the entire season
