Naka-chamba rin ng panalo sa close game!

It's a good thing Mabulac's attempt rattled out of the ring. We could've seen this game going to another overtime. And that would mean our curse was still going strong. Fortunately, our defense held despite Paniamogan escaping with a three at the corner.

And Coach Vergel hugged Coach Gabby at the end of the ballgame. Nice ending to an intense and close re-match against the Bombers!

Credit that last defensive sequence to Robert Bartolo.. He really held his ground and did not do something stupid like fouling Mabulac.

Grey has also played very well for the past 2 games and i hope he continues to do so for our remaining games!

Never underestimate the Cards. We've seen weirder things happening this season like LPU wearing the giant slayer's hat! I hope the Blazers can be consistent and creep closer alongside the Bombers and the Stags.

    End of 1st quarter: MIT 10 - CSB 14

    Saavedra is back in action!

Nice Eriobu fist swing on Deles' face! He had it coming as he had an elbow on Eriobu's face initially in that loose ball sequence. Unsportsmanlike foul called.

    End of 2nd qtr: MIT 26 - CSB 28

Mapua's Zone Defense giving the Blazers a hard time as they can't penetrate nor shoot from the outside. They led by as much as 7 points but the Cards proved resilient and kept the game close through freethrows. Mercado (for the first time I think) was inserted by Coach Gabby just to see what he can do. Nada!

    Halftime feature: Top 5 Plays

#5 is Jonathan Grey's spin and dipsy-doo plus #1 is Luis Sinco's ala John Starks turnaround lay-in against a bigger defender.

    End of 3rd quarter: MIT 47 - CSB 50

Taha showing his skills to keep the team afloat against Kenneth Ighalo's heroics for the Cards. Garcia inserted in the game but has not shown his previous output in the first round against Mapua.

    Taha misses three freethrows?!!!

4th quarter action swinging to CSB's side as Mapua made costly turnovers and miscues. Blazers almost lost it all when Argamino gave an unsportsmanlike foul to Ighalo!

And then they win again, the Cards made sure they keep the score close by fighting but the Blazers' swingmen made sure they were kept at a decent distance of 12 points. Final score is 74-62.

Saitanan should be credited for bringing out Taha's boiling point as they had a mad scramble for the loose ball and Taha was given a nice smack and knee kiss!

Argamino is looking to have a nose job with his pesky defense and getting elbow swings his way!

Romero redeemed himself with a back-breaking three. He was in the bench for a long time after getting his 4th foul for a delay of game tech!

Another good game by "The Stallion".

Huge 23 second half points from Paolo Taha to finish with 25 markers and 10 boards.

Keep grinding, Blazers. We're inching closer to the 4th spot. Animo Benilde!
