May point kayo pareho.
I still post such, although, at times, I let loose and join in the conversation of those who are in the thread. If I don't like the topic being discussed, then I don't post and just reply to posts that I feel strongly about.
Napapakiusapan naman ang lahat. I remember, dati, nagkaroon kami ng rift nina WhitePetalMaiden at King_David dahil na-invade ng kanilang mga alternicks ang thread, after the agreement to use only one alternick in kapuso threads (including fan sites, TV programs, etc). I deleted their multiple posts because I wanted to implement the rule. Pareho silang nagtampo sa akin and that almost split the kapuso thread in two. But heck, lessons have been learned and we're all good now. Iisang usernames na lang din ang ginagamit nina WhitePetalMaiden at King_David dito sa mga kapuso threads.
Both sides must remember that posts should add anything significant to the discussion, whatever that discussion is. No one can claim that no off-topic posts have been made in the past. There have been a lot of off-topic posts made throughout the many years of this thread, but the nature of these posts is different with every generation of kapuso pexers. In the early 2000s, OT posts were personal ones--kumustahan, mga "anak" or "kamag-anak" sa Kapuso threads, etc. In the late-2000s, they were in the form of rebuttals to bashers, grammar and syntax bashing, etc. And in recent years, they appear as "kalandian", suggested shows, etc.
Both sides must also learn to adjust in order for each side to appreciate what the other side has to say. If this means that the "gurangers" join in the "kalandian" discussions, or that the "newbies" provide more thought-provoking posts, then why not?
But, I don't think it's proper to accuse someone of posting irrelevant topics when that person has done so in the past. He who is without sin, cast the first stone.
