Although she is happy with the all the positive feedback on MasterChef Pinoy Edition, Judy Ann Santos admitted that it was also the reason why her teleserye project Against All Odds got pushed back to a later playdate. The talented host actress said she wasn’t disappointed by the news because it allowed her to focus and perform better on her projects.
So naintindihan naman nila,” she said.
The 34-year-old actress said that despite the delay in airing the series, nothing has changed with regards to preparing for Against All Odds. “Tuloy pa rin, wala namang nabago and wala namang nadagdag, wala ring nabawas.
Juday also admitted that she enjoys working with her newest leading man Sam Milby. “In fairness may acting si Sam ha.
Juday also commented on reports that Sam feels intimidated by her. Actually diri-diretso lang kami, wala kaming take one take two take three. Continuous roll lang kami kung may magkamali man basta diri-diretso lang kami,” she explained.
The MasterChef host also talked about her relationship with her longtime manager Alfie Lorenzo.

Jericho Rosales happily announced that he'll be part of the teleserye Against All Odds which also top-bills Judy Ann Santos, KC Concepcion, and Sam Milby. Initially scheduled to air in 2012, the show’s premiere was moved to next year.
According to Jericho, it's perfect timing since it will finally give him the chance to work with the country's teleserye queen again. "Finally, magkakasama na kami ni Juday. I remember before nagkatrabaho na kami sa Esperanza. Nag-long break ako after that. After that, one of the soaps na hindi ko natanggap noon was with Juday. So I kind of feel like, finally, ngayon matutuloy na ulit, makakasama ko si Juday sa soap."
Jericho refused to give details about his character, but it seems that he'll be Judy Ann's leading man in the teleserye. It was originally for someone [else]. Pero unfortunately, parang the artist couldn't ano, parang hindi ma-handle ng ano, and then they offered me the role. In-explain nila kay Tita Angeli (Pangilinan, his manager). Sabi ko, 'Interesting. Okay game'. Iba siya sa mga characters ko noon. Sabi ko, 'Okay good.'"
Although he wasn't exactly the first choice for the role, Jericho maintained that what's important for him is the quality of the material that they have for the teleserye. It's actually the reason why it takes time before he accepts a project. "Ako naman I choose my projects really well. Kapag malaking panahon ang igugugol ko, it's important to me [na maganda yung materyal]. Kasi that's their gauge of being visible so I understand that. But for me, whether it's an album or a teleserye, or a concert, ganon ako e, mapili talaga ako."

Sam Milby admitted that it was refreshing to have Pokwang as a leading lady in the movie 24/7 In Love. Aside from the fact that he enjoyed shooting their comic scenes together, they didn’t have a hard time establishing onscreen chemistry since they’re also good friends off cam. “Six years na kaming nagkakasama sa concert tours and we did an episode for Your Song before so it made it a lot easier. Mas nawawala ang pressure sa akin kasi it’s comedy. Masaya lang sa set, very easy going lang,” he said during the press con of 24/7 In Love.
The 26-year-old is also part of the teleserye Against All Odds together with Judy Ann Santos and KC Concepcion. It was supposed to start airing this year but was moved to 2013. When asked how he feels about the delay, Sam maintained that it’s all for the best since his other co-stars are also busy with different projects. “Kakaradating ko lang galing States. I don’t know, naghihintay lang ako. For the week we were put on hold kasi ang hirap ng schedule. I know Juday has a movie for Metro Manila Film Fest and she's also busy with her new show Pinoy MasterChef. Ako naghihintay lang ng schedule. Okay na rin kasi busy din ako. I’m doing a lot of shows for singing naman. But I just finished the indie movie Death March.”
Sam previously shared in an interview with Push.com.ph that he was star-struck by Judy Ann during their first few days on the set. But he’s happy to say that he’s more comfortable working with her now. “First time na magkasama kami sa isang project. Friends naman kami pero may mga eksena lang na medyo na-intimidate ako pero naging kumportable naman ako after a while.” He added that his colleagues have been very supportive whenever he has a hard time with his speaking lines.
Does he feel threatened since Jericho Rosales was also tapped to be part of the soap? “Hindi naman maiiwasan na ma-compare kami. I’m actually glad naman na madagdagan ng cast, making it much more better. I’m excited.”
