Nag-back out si Sen.

Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo, the first ever big screen team up of Kim and Xian (KimXi), opened in cinemas last July 31 raking P10.5 million. Third party tabulator Box Office Mojo reported that the movie grossed P51.7 million on its first 5 days, making it a certified box office success.

Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo? is a ‘self-help’ comedy movie about the lives of brainy ‘ugly duckling’ employee Sandy Veloso (Kim) and his rich and dashing boss Alex Prieto (Xian).

Directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal and based from the book of Ramon Bautista, Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo is still showing in theaters nationwide. The movie has a great potential to break box office records despite the weekly releases of Star Cinema movies this August in celebration of its 20th anniversary.

Star Cinema will be distributing Gov. Vilma Santos' Cinemalaya movie Ekstra which opens August 14, and will also release the internationally-acclaimed action film OTJ (On The Job) opening August 28, the same day as the special release of Mario Maurer's highest-grossing Thai film of all time, Pee Mak.

Looks like a movie is a blockbuster if it grosses 70M plus. 50-69M Mild Hit. Below 50M Flop. Right?

^Not necessarily. If a movie outfit had a small budget, say 10 million, and its movie release earned 40 million with its financial obligations all paid out--therefore making a profit--then it is not a flop. Determining if a movie is a hit or a miss still depends on the net return for a movie outfit, the movie's producers and stars, among others.
