Eto na yung thread para ngayong taon kapwa ko book worm Muli ang goal natin ay i-challenge natin ang ating mga sarili na magbasa ng mas marami ngayong taon. Paki-post na lang dito yung mga librong nabasa nyo within the year, nasa sa inyo na kung gusto nyong isama sa bilang kung ano mang material yung nabasa nyo e-book, audio book, etc. Magpost din ng 5 sentence na review kung gusto nyo. Ok, I'm just going to post my reading goals for 2013. Up to you if you'll follow my lead.

1. Read 40 books or a total of 15,000 pages (so that I can read chunkster books).
2. About 15 of which are classics/modern classics.
3. Finally read Lord of the Rings.
4. Be more active in my book clubs by participating more in discussion.

Since di naman ako bookworm, goals ko na lang this 2013 eh at least 10 books for this year. Para medyo achievable.

@japspt woah! Ang dami nung 40 books pero sana kaya ko rin yan. Since I'll be graduating in March, wala nang school works so more time to read.

My goals
-read 3 books/month or at least 36 books sa buong taon.
-read 1 Filipino novel/month
-Matapos ang A Song of Ice and Fire
-Collect all Paulo Coelho books

So far 1/36 na. Just finished Mitch Albom's Have a Little Faith.

list of books i plan to read:
- history of middle earth by christopher tolkien plus other books by jrr tolkien (it looks like it will be a middle earth-y year for me. )
- hunger games (ako na ang nahuli sa 'uso' )
- start reading some haruki murakami and paulo coelho (any recommendations to start it off? yung pang-newbie level lang muna.)
- continue reading novels by canadian authors

pero i can only read during april and may dahil kelangan ko mag-aral ng academic books

siguro goal ko muna for now is mabasa lahat ng academic books ko then i'll be posting my leisure books by april pag nagsimula na ako. i read ebooks nga pala dahil i have a dedicated ebook reader.

Meron pa kasi akong tinatapos na video game so to be realistic, I'm planning to finish 10 books this year.
My To-Read list this year
- The Two Towers and The Return of the King, The Similarion and The Children of Húrin.
- I might consider the History of Middle Earth as well... Yun nga lang I wonder if I could get my hands on a physical copy here in the Philippines
- I might consider The Song of Fire and Ice series since I don't have time to watch the series.

Yey! Suggest ko Hardboiled Wonderland or Norwegian Wood. Wag muna yung makakapal ie Kafka on the Shore, Wind-up Bird, 1Q84.

I'd start mine with ASOFAI book 1 A Game of Thrones then the rest. Might take til June or July to finish. Hopefuly we see Martin's next installment within the year.

wow nagkakalabasan na ng plano. exciting di pa ko nagsisimula pero ang plano ko ngayong taon sa minimum ay 70 books (naka 60 ako for 2012) at sa maximum ay 100.
mga plano kong basahin ngayong taon, lord of the rings, ulysses, autobiography ni maxim gorky, mga libro ni mario vargas llosa, mga latin american novels at mga libro ng mga nobel laureate hahaha

1/50. the hobbit - jrr tolkien


i read the lord of the rings first before i decided to give this a try. and after watching the movie (the hobbit), i wanted to revisit middle earth again.

this is the nth time i've read this, and it hasn't lost its touch/beauty. in spite of the fact that i'm very familiar with the story, there were still surprises and hidden depths found anew. an epic and timeless adventure, indeed!

- hindi pa ako nakakakita ng copy ng book. i guess i have to start searching sa mga bookstores. nami-miss ko tuloy yung bookstore kung saan ako nakakakita nung mga 'rare' books.
