May bago ba?

its non offensive to a catholic or christian.

the archbishop, should have been more careful.

of course, I hear non catholics/christians insult us/ our religion, in the most derogatory way, pero iba pag leader.

its too sensitive. ayoko na lang magbanggit ng example, at baka magka idea pa ang mga nakakabasa.

pero next time, think twice before you use another country or group in your homily.

“Let’s get out of our Philippines so we can go to God.”

“There is a Philippines in us and the Son of God would like to enter our lives and the Philippines of our society to enable us to go to the light of love.”

ano kaya pag may nagsabi nito...

The best country sana ang ginamit is china...

    kasi greedy ang china...

“Let’s get out of our China so we can go to God.”

“There is an China in us and the Son of God would like to enter our lives and the China of our society to enable us to go to the light of love.”

He was referring to the biblical Egypt time and not the Egypt of today. There's nothing wrong with that dahil alam naman lahat ng Kristyano anong nangyari sa Egypt noong panahon na iyon and even historians knew about the slavery and persecution.

Why not use Sodom or Gomorrah as his biblical context?

The gospel, I think, was about Joseph and Mary's fleeing to Egypt in order to escape from Herod.

Anyway, unless someone from Egypt actually complains, I don't think this is a big deal. Odd choice for a metaphor though. Egypt back then IIRC was different from the Egypt of Moses' time. The time of the Pyramids was long over.

Wika nga, KARMA IS A B.I.T.C.H.!!!!!
