Kathryn, Daniel to get first full-length movie



Actor Daniel Padilla and actress Kathryn Bernardo

Bernardo and Padilla currently star in the top-rating ABS-CBN soap “Princess and I”. They were also part of the movie “24/7 In Love”, the 20th anniversary offering of Star Cinema, along with other Kapamilya talents.

“Movie na ito eh. I am so happy na binigyan kami ng project na dream naman talaga namin ni DJ (Padilla’s nickname). Pero medyo kinakabahan na ako ngayon,” Bernardo told ABS-CBN News on Tuesday.

Padilla, for his part, said he feels nervous about their newest project.

“Masaya ako pero kinakabahan pa rin ako. Biglang nag-sink in sa akin na magkakaalaman na tayo rito. Pwede bang bumack out muna? Pwede bang maghanda na muna? Dito na magkakaalaman eh. Ito na mismo ang basehan eh,” he said.

While they are already feeling the pressure, both stars vowed to give their best in the movie.

“Siyempre kahit anong mangyari, ibibigay namin ang lahat, positive man or negative ang mangyari,” said Padilla.

Romantic comedy

Bernardo and Padilla agreed that they want their first full-length movie to be a romantic comedy.

“Feeling ko maganda simulan ang launching movie namin sa hindi muna masyadong mabigat, ‘yung for our age lang, about growing up, ganyan. Para hindi mamadali,” said Bernardo.

“Kapag tinatanong ako kung anong gusto kong movie kapag kasama si Kathryn, sabi ko romcom talaga ang gusto kong movie eh. Ayaw ko ng iyakan, lungkot at bigat sa puso. Gusto ko maramdaman masaya lang ako parati,” added Padilla.

Before their launching movie as a love team, Bernardo and Padilla will appear in the comedy film “Sisterakas”, an entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.

I personally think they're not ready yet. Star Cinema should learn from what they did with Kimerald. Kimerald's first solo film last 2007 earned not so well. And yes, I'm practically saying KathNiel is the next Kimerald. And, remember Juliemo's first movie, dahil sa sobrang atat, kaya hayun..

Recently ay nagkaroon na ng story conference para sa launching movie ng tambalang Kathryn Bernardo at Daniel Padilla. Slated for 2013 ang nasabing pelikula ng isa sa mga pinakasikat na young love team ngayon.

Sa kabila ng magandang balitang ito ay kabado rin ang dalawa dahil alam nila na sukatan talaga ang kanilang movie kung malakas ba o hindi ang kanilang hatak sa mga manonood. Bago pa man magtapos ang taon ay nakagawa pa ng magkasunod na pelikula ang dalawa, ang 24/7 In Love at ang upcoming Metro Manila Film Fest entry ng Star Cinema na Sisterakas. Secondary lead sina Kathryn at Daniel sa comedy film na pinangungunahan nina Vice Ganda, Kris Aquino at Ai-Ai de las Alas.

“Di pa rin nagsi-sink in sa amin ‘yung sinasabi nila sa amin, na sinabi nga nila na from 24/7 In Love, Sisterakas, to this movie na kami na talaga [ang bida],” simula ni Kathryn. “Medyo pressured syempre kasi movie [ito]. Happy na binigyan kami ng project na dream naman talaga namin ‘yon—kami ni DJ (Daniel)—pero medyo kinakabahan.”

Sinang-ayunan naman ni Daniel ang sinabi ni Kat at mas naramdaman din daw niya talaga ang kaba. “Nung una di pa ko kinakabahan tapos nakikita ko si Kat parang di na nagsasalita, parang biglang nag-sink in sa akin, ‘Oh my gosh, magkakaalaman na tayo dito.’”

Humirit pa ng biro si Daniel na, “Pwede bang bumack-out muna? Pwede bang maghanda muna? Pero hindi. Alam mo ‘yun, napi-feel mo na dito na magkakaalaman. Ito na ang magiging basehan pero siyempre kahit anong mangyari ibibigay namin lahat, kung positive man o negative ‘yung mangyari.”

Hindi pa makapagbigay ng ibang detalye ang dalawa pero inaasahang romantic-comedy o rom-com ang genre ng kanilang launching movie. “Feeling ko magandang simulan ang launching movie namin sa hindi muna masyadong mabigat, for age namin; about growing up para hindi mamadali,” paliwanag ni Kat.

Ayon naman kay Daniel, mas preferred din niya ang rom-com dahil mas magaan ito. “Ayoko nung iyakan, lungkot, bigat sa puso. Ayokong makaramdam nun, ka-bad trip. Gusto kong maramdaman masaya lang ako parati. Masaya ‘yung rom-com kasi kinikilig ka na, masaya ka pa. Saan ka pa, ‘di ba?”

Maganda nga raw na patikim para sa mga fans ang kanilang pagkakabilang sa Sisterakas. “Hindi ganun karami ang kilig scenes para dito [sa Sisterakas]. [Sa launching movie] nila abangan. Pero meron naman silang mapapanood [na] kilig [sa Sisterakas],” paniniyak ni Kathryn.

Ayon pa kay Daniel, kabado siya nang makatrabaho sina Vice, Kris at Ai-Ai sa Sisterakas dahil nakita niya kung gaano kahusay ang tatlo sa pag-arte. “Ang galing nila. Kahit ano pwede nilang gawin kasi alam na nila lahat, ganun. Kahit alam mo ang gagawin mo pagdating mo, parang ayoko nang magsalita.” Sinabi naman ni Kat na nakita niya kung gaano kahusay ang tatlo sa pagpapatawa.

Sa opinion ko, ... dihamak na mas magaling naman umarte si Daniel Padilla kesa kay Gerald Anderson at mas magaling din si Kathryn Bernardo kesa kay Kim Chui.

Atsaka Dihamak na mas sikat ang Kathniel kesa sa Juliemo.

Kung maganda ang story at magiging performance nung dalawa (katniel) malaki ang chance na maganda ang magiging dating ng movie nila sa masa.

I don't think sila ang next kimerald. Kathniel is better than Kimerald in my opinion. Parang Pit n Guy ang nakikita ko sa kanila' hahahah
