Was that guilt I saw in Shivaji’s face? May hope pa ba para sa character niya? Will he eventually redeem himself later on? I mean after all, there were numerous times that he had shown concern for Anand...Was everything an act?
In this episode, both of our lover boys have shown their genuine interest for Mikay’s happiness, in their own way. It was more apparent in Gino’s case, however. He was the instrument of happiness for Mikay’s pressured,-suffocating state. Some might argue that he was actually an instrument of diversion to the more important things Mikay should focus about, but I will get to that later. I cannot but help adore Gino more in this episode. Ever since he really knows how to put laughter or a simple smile on Mikay’s face. We saw him simply content seeing her happy with the people she loves.
As I have said, Mikay is having an identity crisis. Since she has a strong sense of identity as Mikay, it is hard for her to cope with what seems to be operation stripping-down -of -her –old-self. Again, yes she has to accept that she is Princess Areeyah but I believe later on she will eventually realize that accepting that fact does not mean that she needs to change or at least totally change. Eventually, she will be able to find an understanding within herself and find that equilibrium again. Just like with her archery, she will eventually find herself hitting that bull’s eye. Hopefully people in Yangdon, or her father at least will understand and accept that.
So with that going around inside her, it is understandable that she blew up like that. It is understandable if she craved for a breather more so now. How can people expect her to incorporate everything overnight? The same as I cannot really blame Anand on why he exploded. His line, ‘Noong hinahanap kita ang sakit..ngayon natagpuan na kita bakit mas masakit?’ really got me teary. You can feel his pain. He is fed up with all the, what it seems to him as unreciprocated love. But these things come in time. After all, love and relationship does not flourish just because you are bonded with blood.
I love how the two Princesses always look at the mirror whenever they feel lost. I think it is safe to conclude that Behati really did gave up on having the crown for herself or to get the crown by sinister means after seeing Jao having still that opportunity to have Yangdon through being Mikay’s consort. But now that Priam is back she is confused if she needs to go back to Plan A: Total take over. It will be interesting what she will decide upon.
I do not know what to think about what seems to be a ‘Kidnap’ scene next episode. I’m pretty sure nothing grave will happen to Mikay but I think this will put a strain with Mikay’s relationship with Gino. Another reason for Behati to justify to the King her desires to separate Gino away from Mikay…Another wall for Gino to overcome.
Again, an emphasis on the difference between MIKAY and the PRINCESS. I'm starting to believe na baka nga si Mikay ang "I" In this scene, again, we can see how Mikay is at her happiest with the Maghirangs. And I'm super loving it that Gino is her bridge to them.
But then this happened.

And so nafedup na talaga ang Hari. He only didn't wait for a few hours, tama, naghintay siya ng 15 yrs para kay Areeyah, although he found her already why is it that until know he's still waiting?

I felt the King's pain even more with this line. He did everything he could to bring his daughter closer to him, but it seems like nothing changed, he still is a second priority to Mikay, Mikay saying MAHALAGA ka sa akin Papa, I felt hurt for the King. MAHALAGA lang. Hindi pa MAHAL. Or maybe Mikay really does love her PAPA already but not just enough.
Although I feel bad for the King, I also cannot blame Mikay. She really is in a difficult situation. How can she force herself to immediately love the people she should love? How can she like the things that other people want for her? How can she be the PRINCESS the everybody is itching her to BE?
Sabi nga ni Ashi, you cannot just be a Princess overnight, you have to learn things, do things, work hard to become a PRINCESS. All these training, all the people forcing Mikay to become the person she isn't must be suffocating, in this whole new world, sa Maghirangs lang si Mikay sumasaya. I cannot blame her if for every now and then, she takes a break and decides to be with them. They're the reason why she's still able to go on. It's just sad, that in the process, she is also hurting one person, her PAPA. And now he has decided to bring her back to Yangdon. How will she cope if the people who provides her strength are miles away from her?
Kung nafed-up ang Hari, eh nafed-up na rin si Mikay. Ashi: Do this, be that, like this, BE THE PRINCESS. SUFFOCATING in every sense of the word.
Hindi naman ako ang sinasabi niyong Prinsesa niyo eh, ako pa rin si MIKAY
Now I wonder, now that the King is finally bringing her back to Yangdon, after being accustomed to Yangdon's culture, after getting to know the people, after learning all of Yangdon's tradition, will she lose Mikay and finally become the PRINCESS?
I just wish she doesn't have to lose her sense of self, just to become the person everybody is forcing her to be.
And with the abangan, if before, Mikay was Gino's place of SOLACE, NOW the tables have turned, HE is HER place of SOLACE.

antagal na pala nag stay ni Anand dito sa Pinas ano? sino kayang nagbabantay sa Yangdon habang wala siya?
baka pagbalik niya dun me Martial Law na pala, di man lang niya nalaman. haha
yan yung sinasabi kong "pandering to the fans" (sa mga di pamilyar sa term, pakiclick na lang yung link). kelangan mas maintegrate pa nila ng maayos yung love triangle arc sa main story (though mukhang ginagawa na nila ngayon yun, since it looks like the characters are now falling into their proper places storywise).
looks like nagsishift na rin yung characterization ni behati from a villain to a more antiheroine antagonist (though antiheroine naman talaga siya from the start). malamang isa siya sa magtutulak kay mikay to grow and mature.
inacknowledge rin pala sa series na masyadong matagal na nga ang stay ni anand sa pinas. and it seems part yun ng plano ni shivaji para ipresent si anand as an irresponsible ruler.
