There really is nothing surprising about the results of Norman Black and Pangilinan partnering in basketball. LALO NA SA COLLEGE LEAGUE. So stop acting like your 4-peat is some miracle or a feat to behold.

    Have a nice evening.
The miracle is not in the result. It is in the Black - Pangilinan partnership. I assure you, if UST manages to put together Black and Pangilinan in its sports program, UST people would be exclaiming miracle too.

Kung sino man manalo, congrats in advance.

There had been aberrations in NB's amateur career path hand in hand with the Ateneo program, the first 3 years :

First year --- DLSU (lost in semis)
Second year --- UST (Lost in the Championship, note DLSU was suspended)
Third year --- DLSU again (lost in stepladder. First year of correction against UST tho. Knocked it off the stepladder)

And after that, all those aberrations had been 'corrected' sufficiently thus far, and with so much more. Hence a lot of observers have had the impression that with NB, "You beat NB and Ateneo once, the retribution is greater." Something neither DLSU, UST, nor FEU have done against Ateneo after favors have been sufficiently returned:

4th Beat Dlsu in championship in 2 (UST was out of F4)
5th Beat UE in 3 (knocked out UST in semis)
6th Beat FEU in 2 (knocked out ADU in semis, UST is out of F4 at 7th place)
7th Beat FEU again (knocked out UST in semis)

All those powerful 4 teams (DLSU, FEU, UST, UE) have been dealt with.

On UE, yeah believe it UE had been a force in the UAAP with 3- peat, 1 shared controversial no-contest championship in between, and 3 peat after, count that, 6, oops, 7 I mean. Notwithstanding its record and pride, yeah it is a force.

It's true that Ateneo has never won against UST in a Championship series mainly because there's only been 1 meeting and (get this) UST lost to Ateneo everytime they made the F4 semis which were 3 times also. This is the second time (and because it avoided FEU on the way to the finals this time lol, that's just me lol) It will be either payback and correction of an aberration or UST finally shelving off the 'tsambero' tag both in this season and in 69th.

Be careful what you wish for. Or maybe you wished you had said that after the series and (if) UST had won ala '06 already. You guys are fond of 'there's always the first time' whenever faced with the odds. And right now, I like Ateneo's chances. No one team since that self-adjusting correction of a system (or maybe just even a mindset) has set has any team beat Ateneo twice in a row.

    heh, RTP? lol

Aside: Notice that RTP has been conspicuously absent after his team's dream crumbled in Ateneo's searing rally? No, I'm not talking about UST, lol. He's a pseudo UST fan. He's really a DLSU fan and an Ateneo hater. Pretty much King Botch, er Butch here.

Yeeebahh!!!

It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger, but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was
    Now don't you understand
I'm never changing who I am..

    Check to this!!

And in the UAAP; sometimes a school just have to be strong in Men's Senior Basketball and in Women's Indoor Volleyball to make their sports program popular. People usually remembers and yeah, looks up to the winners from these events mainly because of the media hype.

Last time I checked, Ateneo is the 4-time defending champion in Basketball and runner-up to La Salle in Volleyball

BTW, tomorrow is the day we've all been waiting for.. I'm expecting the Blue Eagles will finish the war with an effin' exclamation point.

So if we were to lend validity to a lot of the Atenean premises here, the UAAP--has become--a popularity contest?

So, bakit nga may volley, football, et cetera sa UAAP?

Is this the part where we pretend the UAAP is show business?

The imbecility of fantardism just reached unprecedented heights.

sana manalo UST sa Game 2, and close fight.

Remember how ABS-CBN did not report UST's win over the Lopezes este Ateneo in 2006?

That should give you a stern example.

It hurts that your general championships DONT MATTER to us but our basketball championships mean the world to you.
