Yeah Ateneo-DLSU will be nice next year. Haha.. Talagang advance na advance tayo.
Kiefer vs Jeron
Plus Elorde will be pumped up for sure. Naka-isang ring na sya ngayon; for sure; gusto din nya maka-lima..
Si Tallo naman; second ring na sana nya tapos probably kung di sya umalis; baka atleast nasa second unit na sya.. well....
EXCITED FOR THE BONFIRE!!! WOOOOOTTT!!!
congrats Ateneo ! (sorry late na ako naka.greet)
off-topic lang, may UAAP-NCAA all star game ba this year?!
Who will be coaching them in the PCCL?
The road to ANIM-o ATENEO will be very hard but as they say, 'Never underestimate the heart of a champion!'
I really don't mind Ateneo winning the title every year. Pero tanong ko lang. What if Ateneo wins a 6th straight title, will the UAAP be boring? Will it lose viewership, followers, and fans? Kasi iisipin lang ng mga tao every year that Ateneo will still end up winning it, so why would they even bother to watch? Hmm...
Kiefer deserves to be in the mythical five, heck he even deserves to be Finals MVP. I guess the UAAP board wants to give a tribute to Greg and Nico.
Look what I got from last night's bonfire:
Kahit puyat, sikat!
The quest towards the 6th straight title for Ateneo starts with the Ateneo president begging for MVP to come back.
Ateneo president still hopeful of MVP support
I guess the fighting spirit of Pido lives on.
Whatever the hell that means![]()
I hope Fr. Jett kept this to themselves. The article made the school look like the administration doesn't have faith in the collective efforts of the school and the alumni in getting another shot at the title. Kaya naman nila, hindi lang nga mabilis.
This will be a good opportunity for Ateneo to go back to its roots, where it's the school and not some tycoon that's doing the recruitment. The 5-peat was a product of MVP, but another title without MVP will be an original product of Ateneo Sports and it will be the sweetest title.
Never mind the foreign trips, never mind the fancy rewards or the scouting trips to the US, it's time for the team to run a college basketball team the same old school way it was being run 20 years ago.

Gusto ko yung nag slowmo dun sa dunk ni Kiefer na part. Sumabay pa talaga sa "ang puso" part of spongecola's song. perfect timing cause you really need heart to be able to dunk the ball when a big man is trying to chase you down for a block.
What a season indeed! The best one in recent years (and maybe even the beset in the last 10 seasons) because of the competition, the rise of new star players, the close games, and the overall impact of this season to the whole UAAP community.
It's also an opportunity for them to focus on their homegrown talents in the juniors. It's immensely easier to recruit from your own high school team. no fancy offers needed to recruit them. Kiefer Ravena has been the only Ateneo homegrown (excluding other Ateneo campuses) talent who was able to make a significant impact for the senior's team in recent years. The next I can think of is Jai Reyes. Dapat ibalik nila yung glory years ng juniors team in terms of the individual talents of the players. Legendary talaga yung panahon nina Wes, Enrico, and Larry sa juniors.
Actually it's happening now! I watched all the finals games of Juami and Kiefer. Believe it or not, there was a time that Juami Tiongson was every bit as killer as Kiefer in HS. He just didn't get the same playing time immediately. If you notice Juami's game, he's a deadly 50% 3-pt shooter, and he can actually get to the basket nearly any time he wants. All those drives to the basket and floaters? Imagine seeing those 8-10 times a game and Juami draining them consistently coupled with the 3-ball; he was scary good in HS. IMO he's better than BJ Manalo.
Pessumal has crazy potential as well. Did you see him in HS? Damn dude. Parang Pippen sa totoo lang (scaled down to Pinoy HS level ball of course) to Kiefer's MJ during their HS years.
Jamike is really a great coach. Walang shortage of good AHS guards thanks to Jamike. Sayang lang sina Bacon, Barracoso, Zags; undersized PF's that couldn't adjust well enough to SF/G to REALLY make an impact in the seniors.
I think the AHS has to lace the drinking fountain water with Cherifer; we need more bigs in the mold of Rico or even Bugia again. Wesley is tall for the 3-spot too btw. We need more height from the AHS!

Oo, player ako dati. I was a two-sport UAAP athlete back in college (Track and Field and Table Tennis), I came from a good school, I've got a great business, I live in a nice house, and my Blue Eagles just won 5 straight championships. Now you know why I'm living the martini life.
And guess what...I've got the balls to show who the guy is behind the handle. I'm proud of who I am, what I do, and what my team has accomplished.
Lemme break this down for you: Ako ay napuyat because of the bonfire ngunit ako ay sikat sa mata ng aking mga kaibigan dahil ang ganda ng nakuha kong shirt. Mababaw ba? Oh you bet your sweet *** it is but for some strange reason this kind of kababawan has a nasty effect on haters. Isa ka ba sa kanila?
Astig no?![]()
Haters are hilarious. Eto Sa kanila - 1Big5.
The awesome part is, given our core and standby recruits, 6 really is possible. Til next year boys and girls.
