mukhang fiesta ang scalpers ah. patron ticket prices are now priced between 7,000 pesos to 8,000 pesos.

Tickets for Ateneo-La Salle match selling for 20 times more in black market

IT'S not just the La Salle faithful who are mighty glad the Archers are back in the Final Four for the first time in two years.

    Scalpers are, too.

With the stage set for the first playoff meeting between the Archers and arch-rivals Ateneo since 2007, scalpers expect to make a killing ahead of the big game on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

This early, tickets released on sale to the public have been sold out and the Big Dome's ticketing arm, TicketNet, said there is no assurance that a new bulk of tickets will be put on sale early on Saturday.

Tickets are still available in schools, but students have aired gripes on social networking sites that getting your hands on one means enduring hours of waiting in long lines.

As expected, a lot of tickets still fell in the hands of scalpers despite a new rule put in place this season limiting the sale of tickets to Ateneo-La Salle games to students of the two elite schools.

This early patron seats at the Big Dome, priced at P350 at TicketNet, are being sold for P7,000 to P8,000 in the black market, or at least 20 times their original price.

The price is only bound to go higher in the hours before the match.

Meanwhile, tickets for the other Final Four match between University of Santo Tomas and National University, which are sold separately, are also selling like hotcakes, Big Dome agents said.

Patron tickets have been sold out but upper box and general admission seats are still available, according to TicketNet at posting time.
isa lang reaction ko sa balitang ito: f*ck you Zac Efron for "stealing" the MOA Arena from the UAAP. ayan tuloy, happy days are here again for the Cubao scalpers.

something's a foot as my atenean friend voiced his opinion about the works behind NU's sudden f4 appearance and eventual plan for a cinderella finish. i feel something's odd as well with UST being 2nd. i hope im wrong.

    Sy's are up to something.

    Eagles, you up to it?

if somehow, the Sy's and NU are able to cheat their way into the Finals and probably face (most probable) Ateneo, I don't think they'll be able to beat them.

This season, NU is the only team to lose to Ateneo at an average of double digits. Ateneo plays their best against NU. NU and Parks play their worst against Ateneo. It would take a screw job of epic proportions for NU to beat Ateneo. If you use Ateneo games as the benchmark for how well a team plays, NU is the worst in the UAAP.

NU should just face it that UST is the only team in the league that can give Ateneo a scare. They should give the Finals appearance to UST already so that UAAP fans will be able to treat themselves to an epic Finals series. NU, though improved leaps and bounds this season, simply just doesn't match up well to Ateneo.

and NU deserves their Final Four spot with the way they played in their replay game against FEU. medyo kaduda-duda yung reason for replaying the game, but they earned their spot.

Unless NU and the Sy family bought some FEU players (ehem RR) to play bad.

yeah... baka may nilagay ang SM people sa pagkain ni Ferrer. Hehe

kidding aside, Jeric Teng also did a good job on guarding Parks in their last game. Remember, Ferrer was fouled out in the fourth quarter. Teng defended Parks all the way after that. As long as Parks' defender can body him up well and as long as he doesn't give Parks that quick first step, he'll do fine. But it's easier said than done.
