First of all, I had goosebumps after watching the game yesterday. NU, after being labelled as a practice team for the longest time, made a statement yesterday by grinding it out with FEU on overtime.

Iba yung puso nung National U yesterday, you can almost feel the intensity of their game lalo na nung last minutes during OT. Coach Eric really transformed this team to a squad to watch out for.

Parks 3 pts during the last minutes of OT changed the team, imagine Mbe shooting a 3 kahit most of his plays are inside the paint.

FEU was working on a very disoriented manner, and yes they are playing with a very low morale. Im from DLSU, but I was rooting for NU, I think they deserve a spot in the final four after what they did during their game against FEU. Talagang they fought for survival.

For me and pinka probable na finals is ADMU and UST. Pero DAMN! If National U would make it the finals I would cheer for them all the way.

would have to agree with an earlier post regarding coach e's manner in handling the team. even the commentators were already pointing out na ineffective na yung offense nung bulldogs when feu went zone nung 4th. they kept talking about how parks should get the ball on the swing rather than the 1st pass.

can't find any box scores pero parang di masyado nakatira si BRP nung 4th.

Don't get me wrong though, was rooting for NU pero sana mas better coached/prepared sila next time, not that i know better, pero even the commentators noticed.

The offense was not really that bad. NU had a lot of assists (23 assists) and the ball rotated really well (lots of open looks at the perimeter). The problem was Alolino and Rono weren't able to hit open shots from the perimeter. The reason why Parks wasn't able to score that well against FEU's zone was because FEU's zone defense was concentrated on him and they are forcing Parks to give it up and are willing to take the risk of letting Park's teammates score from the perimeter.

And it paid off... until the last two offensive sets of NU.

Weird, you were rooting for NU to win rather than for them to lose and secure the Archers a #4 spot? Just curious.

Watched the game yesterday and in my opinion, even though Parks made the clutch 3 and fts that won the game, it was Mbe's solid overall game (efficient inside scoring and rebounding) that was key. Yung PG nila na #4 napansin ko nagbwakaw nung 4th kaya nakahabol FEU eh. Puro careless pass pa.

yup, definitely agree that the offense was running great up until FEU ran the zone. was just pointing out if BRP was not able to bail them out, i'm not so sure if we would still consider it as a good offensive game for them.

no question that FEU was forcing Parks to give it up, but then again, key there was, they were not able to adjust. they ran the same play over and over again (give the ball to Parks up top and isolate him against a zone?) which obviously was not working. No question that his teammates would have to do their share but during crunchtime, it would've been more logical to let your best player take the shots. Not forced ones, but at least run a play to set him up.

Not trying to sound like an expert or KJ, they already won, pero sana lang they keep on improving since it would take a lot more to reach the finals and hopefully a championship

NU-ADMU, UST-ADMU, DLSU-UST, lahat pwede mangyari at sure magagandang laban to.
At least si theeng69 aminado that UST gave Ateneo a hard time during their two games this season.

^ Sarap maglaro sa NU no? Raming perks as a player and may trabaho pa kagad after graduating. Kaya no wonder, the school is expanding quickly and ang laki ng improvement nila pagdating sa quality of education and sports.
